Join the new world

David Landon was elected for a second term as our party president on Thursday. His work last month in the capacity included capturing a Congress super-majority of 30%, re-modeling the Easy Company militia for V2, and re-organizing the party commune to accommodate the new economic module. He will enter his second term with a fresh leadership term: politicalwar running the political department, Calebb at the EZC helm, three former media directors teaming up to head the media department, and Nikolai Omega re-starting the business department, along with ibnroshed running the new education department.



Yesterday, President Landon penned an inaugural address outlining his political agenda for the July-August term. His key goals are keeping party members active in Congress and the success of the new business and education departments. Landon firmly believes that our party can jump-start the activity of other parties’ Senators via follow-the-leader: by keeping our Senators involved, fellow parties will also aim to have their Congressmen stay active. To this end, the president has re-instituted the Congressional Whip position, choosing longtime party member qubert for it. The whip will message every Federalist Senator every so often to verify Congressional activity.

The business department has also been re-created due to the unusual importance of communes in the V2 economic module. Landon and EZC leadership have devised a system of rotating party and militia commune employees to have them work where a product is closest to being finished at any given company. In charge of the party commune is Nikolai Omega, who will monitor the party’s several companies and the four militia companies as business director and EZC General Manager. Landon and Calebb have placed their trust in Omega and is confident in his ability to handle the new module.

The Federalist Party is becoming the first party to open its own university, the third in eUS history. ibnroshed, director of the new education department, has plans to offer a wide variety of courses similar to the format of the North American University. Although so far only plans have been introduced, within days headway has already been made. ibnroshed and President Landon ask for your full support in this venture.

The political department has also seen a positive overhaul recently. Our longtime director, FireSand, has stepped down, and politicalwar has stepped in and admirably prepared the party for the chance at another super-majority. He has compiled an eager election team - one member has already prepared several comprehensive documents for the team to use. Mobile voting and blocking forms have been available since early last week. politicalwar has reported a spectacular quota reached in both candidates and blockers. Last week, President Landon directed a media leadership overhaul thanks to the return of eliwood_sain and TheCrimsonPatriot. The pair will become co-directors of media, along with Dave Richards, who is returning for a second term. Richards will direct party newsletters, TCP will advertise the articles of party members, and eliwood will run contests. The revised department will function much better with all three directors previously running the department. Recruitment and retention (R&R) will continue under the command of Lorenzo Serafini; and JDR1986 will serve another term as Federalist Outreach Program Director. Landon has also asked Alexander Hamilton to serve another term as vice-president, and Hamilton accepted.

The move to V2 has changed the entire eRepublik landscape. There have been volatile reactions and problems arising from lack of preparation and inability to mold longstanding theories and formulas. But the Federalist Party is already acclimated to the economic module, thanks to weeks of preparation and the dedication of our members. David Landon is the right man to lead us this month. Our leadership has the ability to stay our party on the right course. We have the tools and the drive to continue expanding and improve this great nation.
