After letting the shock of your election has washed over you, unless you have been a member of congress before, you are likely to have no idea what is to happen next.

This is your cue to watch the congressional member's thread and if, by luck, there is someone acting in the capacity of a whip, he or she will post a link for congressional sign in at the forum. If you have not already,
you need to apply for membership at the forum so that you can attend the discussions and vote. To make your presence known, people are supposed to post a link to their profile. Few people are doing that correctly.

The Speaker or some appointed official will count all of the members present and use that number to establish a quorum which is the minimum number of members who must be present to make a session and it's acts valid.

Attending the forum is not mandatory, but it is wise. This is where you will be able to keep advised on all issues pending in congress. It is also handy to have support available for those party members who are active in the Congressional forums. It is nearly impossible for our party to implement it's platform and agenda without the vigorous support of our entire delegation and their allies in other parties.

You will also be able to participate in the election of the speaker of the house, which takes place a few days after a Congress is formed.
