A Soldier's Welcome

This squad of Air Cav made me feel great about coming home.

Ya gotta love modern technology.. I wrote yesterday's Custer's Stand from my squat spot on a huge C-17 Globemaster III transport plane, and before we were even out of Swiss airspace it was being transmitted by satellite for publication. I had already posted my resignations from the various posts I held with the Swiss government on both national forums (it's a crazy system there, they got complete duplicate partisan sets of every "official" government Org, Forum and even Bank), and had written to the President and Minister of Defense. The official notifications made, the newspaper article was to let my friends in both Switzerland and the US know what I was up to.

So I was done in Switzerland, but was I really done with Switzerland?

My next chore was to contact the US Secretary of State. Having just acted as Swiss Ambassador to the US, having just the day before come hat in hand to US MoFA Krems and CJCS Jankems asking for help in case Switzerland was attacked, and now having just resigned from that post as the gigantic C-17 swallowed clouds and mountains like gumdrops... it just seemed the natural thing to do, to ask for the job of US Ambassador to Switzerland.


So, to my old bosses in Switzerland.. President Milanlazetic, Minister of Defence MaliodPalube, and especially my red hot loverboy MoFA Clifford Burns.. if Switzerland feels the need to contact the United States, maybe to ask for an MPP or something, and you set up to have your people call our people... I'm our people.
