Weapons Price Surge
Australian Warlord
This evening as we have our evening news we find the eAustralian weapons eBusinesses blowing Q1 weapons to twice the average daily wage. This price hike in a poor eNation has put Q1 weapons out of reach for the average eCitizen. With the price hikes we're now seeing a black market rampaging through the eAustralian community. This is expected to counter the funds that returning Aussies are expected to bring into the eAustralian econoomy.
It also give the eBusiness & eGovernment a problem which is this. When eWA is going to return to eAustralian hands, there's afew weapons eBusinesses. Now do we accept high weapons prices until then or do we have afew new weapons eBusinesses start up & risk a future collapse in weapons prices.
(Ps : This writer is looking at starting a weapons eBusiness in eAustralia.)

Think about supply and demand. If the price goes up then people arent going to buy it so they arent going to make profits. Eventually the price will go down when weapon Buisiness owners realise they are missing out on profits
Btw I'll sell Q1 weapons to you directly off the market for 11 AUD.
The sitauation should stabilize quickly. Increasing wellness will increase productivity - which means more weapons, cheaper, to better paid consumers.
Also, once the novelty of combat wears off, eAussies will learn to budget for weapons, and only buy them for their best attacks.
While Western Australia is a problem, it's worth remembering that eSAfrica prides itself on encouraging free trade - getting them to invade WA for a day would allow Westralian companies to buy cheap export licences for eSA. Then whenever the eAussie market gluts, they can shift their products to eSA, benefiting everybody.
eSth Africa ain't in a position to invade & we're not getting WA back for at least 3 months (the timeframe sucks). Plus eSth Africa don't exactly have high prices.
😕 why are you overseas....
As I mentioned on another article, weapons prices have increased due to demand yet the raw material, Iron has not increased.
I think some GM's are simply cashing in!
@srg91 : The reason why I've moved back overseas that I'm disgusted that despite my character having higher skill than players like Pred & having better wellness I'm expected to have little more than half the income. Sorry but that's appalling.
The fact that eAustralia has such blantant favouritism is a eNational disgrace. Quite frankly I'm not prepared to accept a job in such circumstances. I'll come back when I've started a eBusiness & I won't be engaging in such activities in any eBusiness I operate.
I know what you mean AW, I work on a pittance. I can barley afford Q4 food (if there is any in the marketplace) to keep my wellness up at a decent level. Then I hear of people with better connections claiming there is no problem what-so-ever because THEY are well paid.
i see you got a point there it's hard to make it in the real world and it's just as hard here but it's nice to see the news isn't corrupted
The weapons are high priced atm, but you would be foolish to think it would stay the same. This is the time when weapons companies get into the black or go past break even. And that's not even talking about the massive rise in wages.
Black market - yeah cause that isn't off the market...., someone just gave merchanting that name to spice it up a little.
The market doesn't supply the goods it is natural for merchants to fill the gap. On that note;

From a person who is a Romanian and would never buy a weapon in Australia, this is a bit rich.
Let the free market work. 🙂
It will balance out. There has never been a need for a weapon to be sold on our market for months. So the pricing will move.
@srg91 - This is an article about the cost of weapons, not where he resides. We need to keep our eye on the ball here. Please write an article about his residence if that is an issue. 🙂
I agree with Alex, there is some profit taking here and probably rightfully so. Who has been buying all the weapons from our market and our weapons companies for the past months? 🙂

That's rubbish - this one shouldn't be about free market. How can you develop a war economy if at the first opportunity greedy managers jack up the price of weapons / moving tickets etc.
In indo the price of a gun is around 1/3 of a days wage and if we don't actively rank up our population, we'll never be in a position to direct our own future..
Thinking through it, I guess in the medium term the market will attract more companies at such high prices and the competition will bring the prices down.
If we have more and more ppl wanting to rank up in Australia, then we need a LOT more companies producing weapons.
Or do we just have a pool of players move to Romania or Indonesia as they wish to fight there in a war economy
It is supply and demand. And I can't blame them for raising prices because this is only war games. If they did this during a real war then the would be a matter of national security.
I suspect that there will be more weapons companies soon and that will help.

AW unfortunately your manufacturing level is rubbish or I'd set you up with a very decent wage at The People's Food. All of my employees are paid at least 20% over going job market rate.
