We Stand With Germany

With Sweden declaring war on Germany, we as Americans have a choice to make. We can either standby and watch our long time ally attack a newly founded friendship or we can defend Germany to show we protect our friends against unprovoked attacks.
The current administration has chosen to stand by Sweden for reasons that are certainly understandable. However, that doesn’t make it right. I always stand by my friends. I defend people who need help defending themselves. When I give my word I am bound by it. These are my RL values. Maybe these values have no place in this game, but I believe these values make this game more enjoyable for everyone. So when our newly formed alliance with Germany needs our help, I will not stand by and watch them fall.
While the administration has effectively chosen to remain neutral, we the people, should not. If you believe we should help defend Germany protect their territory, vote this up and comment below. We need to show Germany that the American people are behind them.
I don’t know when Sweden will launch their attack. What I do know is this, our MPP with Germany expires in 9 days. I want to let Germany know that if they want to renew their MPP with us, our Congress will stand with them. So Congressmen and women, sign below if you will stand with Germany.

There is nothing "unprovoked" about it. eGermany had this coming. Read the history. In the choice between a long-time proven friend (eSweden), and a new "trial" member of ATLANTIS with a shady past, we are right to stand by the proven friend.

I was on the front lines of Podolia and West Siberian Region when Indonesia and Hungary attacked. Many German soldiers fought in those battles on our side, and this is how we repay them? The administration's position and yours as a Congressman must be difficult. I applaud your judgment. Voted.
All that anger from that flatpack furniture could be condensed into breaking the Swede's walls.

I am greatly disappointing by the actions of our congress with the peace proposal. Sweden is in the wrong here and rather then confront Sweden with the issue Scrab is just going to let them walk over us and avoid the conflict all together.
@Alecian: The point is that they were allies in a fight, so are you. However they are not attacking you.
@DF: Neutrality is the right stance to take in this current position. Both countries are part of Atlantis, and playing favorites will never get us anywhere.
I don't agree with the swedes, but I can't say they weren't entirely unprovoked. There are better ways to deal with this. Please don't do this. Germany made the choice to leave PEACE and seek an alliance with Atlantis, and indirectly, an alliance with Sweden, otherwise they wouldn't have tried to join.
The PEACE propaganda machine WANTS you to attack Germany, I hope you can use common ground to discuss these issues rather than end it in a bloody battle that will only go to further strain our ties with one another. I support Sweden, I support Germany, but I don't support these actions. Please, find a better way. For the alliance, and more importantly, for yourselves.

If you're refering to whether or not these actions will strain the alliance, then in my view point it dosen't really matter since Atlantis is effectively gone due to Romaina dropping out of the race.
There's a lot of talk about a third alliance which I support. Old actions no longer matter. We have to judge nations on what they're doing NOW. I don't want to be allied with a nation that attacks their friends(I know there's a history between Sweden and Germany but that shouldn't matter anymore. Germany wants to be in Atlantis and therefore should be considered a friend)

Read what Sweden has written. "We let them in so that they would give us what we want. If we are allies they have to." Now that Germany won't give them what they want they claim "Germany are not really members!"
If Sweden wanted German territory they should have stood up and not allowed them to join Atlantis. Instead they thought they could take the easy way out and it backfired on them!
Sweden wants their way without having to work or pay for it and used treachery to make it happen. I will not take any part in despicable behavior such as that!
I don't care where where we fight at this point. If it comes down to it, I've got to fight somewhere for the experience. So might as well choose whoever is going to provide either the most experience or the most resources.
