Wasting Our Numbers

Day 1,004, 11:33 Published in USA USA by Blank Keating

As most of us know, the new hospital system in V2 has brought the end of the fortress era. People use hospitals based on the locale of the battle, instead of where the fighter is located. However, we still have 6,400 people stationed in Florida. Localized numbers still do effect one issue, and that's battle price. Think of it like playing Risk and putting all your troops on Madagascar while you own all of Africa.

Come on guys, I hear East Russia is nice this time of year.

We can use our numbers in places that can better suit to deter attacks on our homeland, and eventually our territories abroad. As we've seen in the past with the UK, and just recently with Eastern Siberia, the attackers have a great amount of advantage because they get to pick what time their battle ends. Now that we're not tethered to hospital bearing regions, groups of players moving around to abruptly populate newly conquered regions gives us the ability to chip away a little more at Phoenix coffers when they strike back or surrender and re-invade to get a favorable end time.
I recommend people evaluate their monetary situation and consider moving along our borders to increase battle costs for our enemies. Think of it in terms of a sliding scale:

Low flexibility players (players who can't afford to move frequently): Stay in Florida. You'll never have to move. Ever.
Medium flexibility players (players who prefer not to move, but can occasionally): Stay on our more secure borders, i.e. Alaska, Massachusetts, Texas
High flexibility players (players who can afford to move around more): Move to unstable borders and follow it as it grows or shrinks, i.e. Eastern Siberia, Far Eastern Russia

We Americans can already fight the baddies well. Now we can hit them in the wallet at the same time.

Think about it.
