War and Profit

Day 611, 12:38 Published in Australia Australia by Manic Frenzy

Have you ever noticed the prices of raw materials (RM) and manufactured goods.
How they fluctuate in times from no battles or no wars to other times when resistance wars (RW) and war games are active.

In times of peace, Q1 food just doesn't keep your wellness from dropping and dropping and if you're working for a higher quality employer (Q3, Q4) you have to go out and buy the good food.
So if you can afford it, you are trying to buy Q2 food or better.

Have you seen the price of Q1 food? Sixty one cents was the last price I saw. I think that's the lowest price in my short time here that I've ever seen it. About a month ago the price for Q1 food was approximately seventy cents as I recall it.
Yet the price for Q2 food has stayed relatively the same. It has only dropped about five cents in the last couple of weeks probably due to a couple of competitors trying to get their products out the door.
Q3 food is more than double the price of Q2 food.

Q1 food = $0.61
Q2 food = $2.20
Q3 food = $5.23
Q4 food = $7.35
Q5 food = $23.46

Now I have heard that there are employers out there alternately asking about war games. Their workers are not keeping their wellness up and thus they are not getting the same productivity out of them and in some cases, especially for lower skilled employees, the employers may be accepting losses. They don't want to lower their salary because they might just leave for better paying jobs which might lower their productivity again.

From what I hear, the war games are coming. When? I'm not sure.
But it will be interesting to see if and how the prices of RM's and produced goods change when they do start.

Sometimes allowing the market forces to alter the supply and demand of goods can take a terrible toll on us all. Sometimes the great pendulum of the market force of over supply can suddenly swing back and then we could find ourselves with over demand. The pendulum swings both ways but never seems to reach a viable equilibrium that can sustain the markets.
It would be a super ask to get a team to do the super task of controlling all production, manufacture and construction into a viable and sustainable level for this nation.
This task is something that is probably beyond our capabilities to handle.

We will just have to fight when we can and hope the inanimate object that is the market will take care of the dull days.

War and profit, they do seem to go hand in hand, don't they..Some food for thought.
