Waking up from winter sleep

In the beginning there was nothing. Then became eRepublik. The land of the lost, the land of the fallen, the land of the cursed. A place for the wicked to gather, a place for those who have nothing better to do in real life. And so I'm back for one more round.

Make no mistake, I'm not back in active mode for long. I'm too old for it and I've lived through too much of this game. But I will spend some time again to finish a few things started.

I've had a lot of hard time finding the spirit to write articles again. I used to have a knack for writing articles, but it got lost some time ago. Now I should be writing articles for EDEN. There are a few topics every week that should be covered somewhere - issues like Bulgaria-Turkey case, world events on the map, how EDEN is working after the latest incidents, the list goes on.

In my view the problem is that there is no single point of view, no pre-set way of writing statements into an alliance newspaper. Once you stop writing articles for a while, it gets harder day by day to start again - because you broke the chain. Moreover, I think the lack of systematic approach is one part of the problem.

Alliance media should be covered with a steady flow of regular updates about same topics so we see their progress, and amidst there could be articles covering some specific events like say, a Country President getting impeached, or a country joining or leaving EDEN.

Before any of you say the obvious: no, it's not just about finding active writers. Someone being an active writer is a myth. Everybody either write about topics they find interesting themselves, or about stuff that they are told to write about. If we set any guidelines for articles that should appear regularly and the style of EDEN articles, it helps the writing effort immensely. What's written in an alliance newspaper should be different than what's found on private newspapers like mine is. I'd never publish this, or any other article of mine in any semi-official newspaper. I want to keep it that way and keep at least some level of style.
