It it my intention today to announce officially my intention to run for Country President of the eUK. It does me great pride to declare that I have support in my bid from my party, The Peoples Communist Party, my former party and good friends in the Radical Freethinkers Alliance as well as the United Kingdom Reform Party.

Over the coming days I will be releasing my manifestos regarding my economic, military, foreign and domestic policies which I invite you all to read.

Those of you from the forum and irc community that know me, will know my intention to run for Country President is backed up by serious ideas and commitment rather than for personal aggrandising. Right now I believe we play the forums more than we play the game. We get stuck on old ideas, trying to change the old to fit the new but often failing, just squabbling or just wasting our time. We need to focus on benefiting the eUK as a nation in game and not forget the community which have not yet joined us on the forums. We must remember that there are more of us playing this game than just those on the forums.

Government is about making decisions which benefit the peoples as a whole but criticism is a given thing. However I want to move away from the of thinking that if you're not with me, you're against me. I have amassed broad ranging support from parties of opposing ideologies, and I want to get on with the task of making the most out of the country and the game as a whole, rather than for a small group of self interested individuals. I want the whole eUK to have fun, not just a select elite few. I don’t want to be elected to ‘play Government’ I want to be elected to run a Government.

I want to thank you for reading and hope my manifestos peak your interest in this election. If you happen to vote for John Bartlett on the 5th, I promise to fulfil my pledges to you. This may just be a game, but its our game.
