Vote for Change - Vote for H.O.P.E and, vote Killah Bee!
OKayOK
Once a month we are asked to take a long hard look at our eCountry, how it is being managed, how much interaction, development, social services etc. that there are and how much there should be. The election of an executive president to take the helm is one of the most important clicks that we can make in this game and it should be taken seriously.
D9, lame duck
Looking back through the election history, I can see that D9 was Country President as far back as January 2017. His last article was written over three months ago. You have to ask yourself, is it acceptable that the president of your country has zero communication with his constituents for three whole terms? I think that the answer should be a resounding no!
I am not from this country originally. I come from eSouth Africa where, even as a small country we had a vibrant, citizen-centric government that used tax contributions to make eLife awesome. We had involved, active presidents, a highly motivated and effective Ministry of Social Development who actively used Facebook to recruit new players into the game. We had a well equipped Ministry of Security that would vet new players and Citizen Requests to ensure that the country was protected against NPO. We had a well-staffed Ministry of Foreign Affairs that actively worked with other countries, forming alliances with some of the most powerful countries in the game.
What has the D9 Administration done for your country? Do you feel that they have taken your interests into account, do you feel that the president has treated you with the respect that you deserve? Do you feel that they can do better?
If you want real change, why not use your vital vote for change, real tangible change that will make your country a better place? Why not vote for a president that will not simply be a medal whore taking away chances from newer players (You guys know what I am talking about).
This coming election, vote for real change, vote for Killah Bee and the H.O.P.E party and let's start making eBelgium awesome!

Make EBE Awesome Again!
Ah yes, the good old defamatory article right before the election, I missed those. Let's do it like before and go through it point by point shall we?
"His last article was written over three months ago. You have to ask yourself, is it acceptable that the president of your country has zero communication with his constituents for three whole terms? I think that the answer should be a resounding no!"
Three months without an article published on his personal newspaper? Oh no, the horror. You're misrepresenting the communication status on purpose. Government articles are published weekly for the programs (more on that later) and important information is usually shouted on the country wall since it doesn't always warrant a whole article. Saying there is no communication is nothing short of a lie with an agenda.
"I am not from this country originally. I come from eSouth Africa where, even as a small country we had a vibrant, citizen-centric government that used tax contributions to make eLife awesome."
Oops, guess we should just stop the housing and food programs since apparently, it's not the right way to use the taxes. Probably better in a player's account, right? You compare Belgium, a country with a whooping average of 20 citizens alive with South Africa that easily has triple that number, and expect them to have the same exact organization and government? That's past idealist and downright silly to want things to be the same.
"We had involved, active presidents, a highly motivated and effective Ministry of Social Development who actively used Facebook to recruit new players into the game."
Well damn, didn't know you had to be CP to get people in the game, thanks for telling me. Where are all the people you've brought recently?
"We had a well equipped Ministry of Security that would vet new players and Citizen Requests to ensure that the country was protected against NPO."
Oh, you went there did you? You do realize our immigration has been fairly strict in the sense that we try to protect from foreigners and that "you" are the one that most recently brought a multi that was working on sullying our elections? (https://i.imgur.com/cb1p1hh.png https://www.erepublik.com/en/country/Belgium/citizenship/applications/approved/118 https://www.erepublik.com/en/citizen/profile/6298937) I don't think you get to have a single word on protecting from external threats.
"We had a well-staffed Ministry of Foreign Affairs that actively worked with other countries, forming alliances with some of the most powerful countries in the game."
Hahahaha, this just shows how out of touch with the actual game you are. We do not want/need alliances with big countries. The sad state of the game is that everyone is now farming medals in the campaigns. Having alliances with "big countries" as you say would just ensure that no Belgians would be able to ever get a medal. We have a lot of countries that we have been friendly with over the past two years, mainly in order to ensure we'd always have a training war going on where Belgians can go and fight for their country. Latvia and the Netherlands are our current partners, and we have daily contacts with them to ensure everything goes as smoothly as it can. I find you obnoxiously pretentious to try and judge our work without having any conceptions of what is needed.
"What has the D9 Administration done for your country? Do you feel that they have taken your interests into account, do you feel that the president has treated you with the respect that you deserve? Do you feel that they can do better?"
Can we do better? Of course, it's always possible to do better. But the insidious way you're phrasing that is just low. Insinuating we've done nothing when we organize housing and food distribution as well as punctual national tournaments is just plain stupid. It's almost the only activity you can see when you look at Belgium. Regarding the respect the citizens deserve, I ask that you show me a single time when we've not shown respect or been discourteous as you've been in this article.
"Why not vote for a president that will not simply be a medal whore taking away chances from newer players (You guys know what I am talking about)."
Do I even need to explain why starting name-calling is just low? Ignoring the insult, never has the spot been monopolized. We've never prevented anyone from running, the citizens get to vote, and they've repeatedly chosen D9 and our team over the known wildcard that is Killah Bee. Never have we been approached by a citizen that wanted to be part of the government or wanted to start developing an idea. All we've done is keeping the boat afloat while no one cared enough to even try to take the lead with a reasonable plan that goes further than "I want to get the medal and empty the treasury".
Nonetheless the citizens will get the final say on election day.
I do not deny that I am out of touch with this game. I was awk for years. What I do know is that a country with 10 players can still create a society that promotes growth. I do not believe that this state of being in eBE is not what we should be accepting. When I was talking about alliances, I was not talking about ingame mechanics in terms of MPPs, I was talking about groups of countries working together in an allience such as EVE in the past.
We dont even have a damn forum, IRC or discord. We have no communication from the president. I get that there is communication from government, but we dont even know who the hell that is. Who is working on government? Who is working to grow our citizen base? None of this makes sense. We can do better and we should
No discord? 😂 You're present in the server do you even try to live by what you say or is it just all propaganda? Here is the link for those that don't know already https://discord.gg/tKu9Rds (I admit we could advertise it more)
Alliances as you mean it is a trap where we'd just get attacked for being part of it without the ability to defend. Our current neutral stance on the matter is much more sensible. If you want information about the gov why not ask instead of writing a defamatory article like you did? No this is all an agenda without a real vision behind it.

Good luck for the elections, it's the only thing I could say now.
Good luck!
eBe is a lost cause.
It's so for a very long time.

It's not us against everyone. We are open to cooperate and unlike other parties open to criticism. criticism is something we must embrace. criticism brings progress. Progress is what we need if we want to put EBe back on the map. A vote for Hope is a vote for a better future, a vote for democracy. We reach out to everyone, despite the many differences.
Vote for change!
