Vote Eneibari...

Day 764, 10:35 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Aelar Vardamir Anari Eneibari

Aelar Eneibari.

I am Aelar Vardamir Anari Eneibari, proud member of the FDP, and still I want your vote for MP in London!

Last month, you re-elected me as your MP. I have kept serving you, in Westminster and in London.

News from Westminster

The Government again decided to raise Income taxes across the board, all the way up to 22% this time. While I disagree with the steepness of the hike, I must explain that the Government has a legitimate reason to seek more funds-- we are in a threatening military environment, and may face a multi front war in the near future. I would, however, have preferred they not go over 20%.

On Uniting with the United Netherlands

Weeks ago, I told you about the Union with the Netherlands that our governments have been discussing. When Prime Minister Woldy first brought the idea to the House of Commons, I began private talks with the governments and parliaments of both countries. My Colleague Gulliver and I composed a Constitution based on the various perspectives and taking suggestions from all participants. We then asked Trinc, Kixtart, Olv007, and others to translate the draft into Dutch and French.

Originally, the actual process of Union would have been quite challenging due
to the possible interference of the Romanian puppet-state of "Belgium." In the
last few days, we successfully removed that threat. We are free to merge
without the intervention of outsiders-- as long as France and Germany exist.

In order to properly evaluate support for a merger among the populace, I have created a Referenda site. Sometime fairly soon we may hold a publicly accessible vote on whether to Unite. For now, you can vote in one of the joke referenda for testing purposes.

More Parliamentary Diplomacy

Later in the term, the Phoenix Alliance came knocking. The House of Commons
was presented with a charter (including the final list of members) and had 24
hours to discuss and vote. During that time, Gulliver and I found that the
draft needed revision for language and clarity, and provided it. A serious
fau😜as was thus avoided.
