Vision for Australian Independants Party
StewartB
My Vision
1.Place for people to share ideas no matter how different they maybe.
2.Place for new people interested in politics to see different ideas before they choose a path for thier political career.
3.Better organisation of the people within the Party so that we can be more active in the community.
4.Mediating an active IRC and Forum for AIP to encourage participation.
5.Regular Updates in the Media on what activities are happening within AIP.
6.Support of the eMentor Programme to help build a more active eAus.
7.At next senate elections to move AIP seats from 4 to 6 to allow more balance into eGov.
8.Increase involvement in eCabinet through producing high quality politicians that represent the people.
9.Allow better engagement with the general population for them to have a say through AIP to better represent a cross section of views.
10.Foster healthy debate in AIP as we are independants and I expect many different views in the party to help develop new ideas for the country to make us a power on the world stage.

Very Impressive, I do want to point out that we have forums at the eAus forums but so far only 5 people have joined the AIP section ( you are not one of the 5 😛 ).
As I said before my only concern is the "shared" apporach, The thing that makes the AIP great is that its about the individuals, as long as we don't start touting "party lines" or trying to get others to vote along the same way then I'm ok with it.
I am about individuality and different views. I will just help those voices be heard in a constructive way to make a positive difference to eAus.
I wil go join the AIP forum section now.
I would have to agree with Alex. Although, when I created the AIP I did hope to see that the Independents would support each others views, at least to some extent. This support might entail all AIP members voting against a proposal in support of an AIP member, on the grounds that that person would vote along specific lines should the need arise for another AIP member.
This type of wheeling and dealing is done by the Independents RL anyway, it also means that the other major parties can attempt to deal with individual AIP members for their support as well.
I would like to point out that with the TBP and ANP involved in a Coalition, the support of the AIP members would give them a majority in the Senate 😃 At least this term 😃
So Xarier, what you're saying is that AIP wasn't started with the intention of being the independent blog.
Joined AIP Forum.
Xavier - Yes I support AIP members to be able to either vote as a unit or vote as individuals. I will never try and direct the votes of the AIP though. We will debate an issue and then the AIP individuals can vote which ever way they want. I will not be asking anyone how they will vote it is their choice.
Forum will have postings though running up to congress elections on where votes are needed to get people AIP Members into congress but again it is their choice still on where they cast thier vote.
I will be encouraging transparency and if people make it to senate or cabinet I will encourage AIP members to declare any companies they are running and any government contracts they hold. Again is voluntary and noone will be penalised for not doing it.
For everyone's knowledge I am the Founder of Eureka Holdings.
No government contracts currently held with Eureka Holdings.
AW - Difference between havine independants and using the group power to make a difference by keeping balance in the government. There will be times the group will ALL agree on an approach and also if one party gets too strong it would be sometimes needed to help other parties bring balance back to the Senate.
However the AIP is a group where we would not enforce an overall view on party memebers they are always free to vote on each individual proposal how they see fit. Where as in the other parties they have strict polices and vote in one unit.
@ AW: "So Xarier, what you're saying is that AIP wasn't started with the intention of being the independent blog."
Did I say that? I don't think so, don't go misquoting me AW, you have been warned.
