eNederland heeft twee termijnen achter de rug, waarin veel is gebeurd maar weinig bereikt. Dat is een constatering, geen verwijt. En als het al een verwijt is, dan is het een verwijt aan iedereen die niet constructief heeft bijgedragen aan het politieke landschap. Er is discussie gaande of we het politieke bestel overhoop moeten gooien om ministers langere tijd de kans te geven hun ideeën uit te werken. Toch ligt daarin niet het antwoord. Het antwoord ligt in samenwerking omdat we dat willen. Omdat we gebruik willen maken van de kwaliteiten en ideeën van mensen, ongeacht hun politieke kleur of persoonlijke netwerk. Omdat we onze focus willen leggen op de dingen die eNL echt verder helpen. Omdat ik me daar hard voor wil maken, run ik namens de Geuzen Partij Nederland als kandidaat voor Lands President.

Persoonlijke kwaliteiten, spelinzicht en netwerk bepalen de beste kandidaat. Ik ben dan ook blij dat ik een waardig tegenkandidaat heb, die ruimschoots bewezen heeft dit allemaal te bezitten. Hoewel we vanuit politieke meningsverschillen wel tegenover elkaar hebben gestaan in de politieke arena, zal ik dan ook zeker geen campagne voeren tegen Auggustus, maar jullie eenvoudig proberen te overtuigen van mijn visie en focus.

Als MoFa en ssMoFa, ambassadeur in onder meer eCroatia, een van EDEN’s belangrijkste leden, maar zeker ook uit persoonlijke interesse heb ik een stevig netwerk opgebouwd in het buitenland. Niet alleen belangrijk bij het opbouwen van de landsrelaties met buitenlandse bondgenoten maar ook om te leren van de manier waarop grote landen hun natie runnen. Daar moeten we meer gebruik van maken. We kunnen het veel beter doen, als we focussen op de juiste zaken.

Focus op nationale eenheid
Ik zet in op een regering van nationale eenheid, waarvoor actieve en talentvolle mensen uit alle partijen worden benaderd. Dat staat los van een eventuele overheidsreorganisatie. Als het daarover gaat, geloof ik in een regering ondersteund door vaste medewerkers die voor lopende zaken zorgen, en een constructief samenwerkend ministerieel team dat wordt samengesteld door de CP. Bij voorkeur maar niet noodzakelijk samengesteld uit alle partijen. The best man for the job! Wel wil ik voor zaken die niet van de grond komen of waar eeuwige discussies tot niets leiden, zoals coaching, recruiting of een solide economische strategie, gebruikmaken van de kennis en ervaring van spelers uit alle partijen. Mensen, die als adviseurs kun krachten bundelen in een adviserend orgaan of denktank voor de regering. Het werkt in andere landen, en benut ook de kwaliteiten van mensen die geen tijd hebben voor deelname in de regering.

Focus op ontwikkeling burgers
De eerste denktank die al met meerdere partijen is besproken, is het Taskforce Coaching, bedacht door de leden van GPN. Een taskforce waar slimme en ervaren mensen uit alle partijen aan kunnen deelnemen om ‘outside the box’ te werken aan oplossingen voor ons structurele coaching probleem. Om de burgers van eNL meer bewust te maken van alle aspecten van het spel. En zo een sterker en slimmere natie te bouwen.


Focus op EDEN lidmaatschap
Daarnaast blijft het volwaardig lidmaatschap van EDEN top prioriteit. Er is niet veel aan gedaan (waar we van weten) door de laatste twee regeringen om full EDEN membership te verkrijgen.
Ik ben niet voor een sterkere bundeling van krachten binnen GEA, maar wil inzetten op betere coördinatie van onze nationale strijdkrachten, om in overeenstemming met EDEN HQ, onze loyaliteit te bewijzen. We moeten ons laten zien in belangrijke battles, met zoveel mogelijk eNLers, om EDEN HQ en de leden van EDEN te laten zien wat we waard zijn. Daarnaast zetten we de vriendschappelijke relaties met Terra en vooral Frankrijk en Duitsland voort. Ook de Verenigde Staten blijven een belangrijk bondgenoot voor ons.

Focus op actieve buitenlandrelaties
Verder zou ik graag doorzetten wat ik heb opgestart als MoFA in Joep O’s regering, namelijk het vestigen van actieve ambassades bij alle bevriende EDEN landen, maar ook binnen TERRA en ook One landen; hoe meer je weet hoe beter het is. Zo kunnen we onszelf beter bekend maken in de EDEN community, vergeet niet dat we voor full membership, de stem moeten krijgen van elk individueel EDEN lid. Ik geloof niet in het opzetten van een GEA community; dat zou lijken alsof we met dat lidmaatschap al tevreden zijn.

Focus op Nationale veiligheid
The Security Council of Immigrants is slecht georganiseerd, met citizenship requests die onbedoeld verlopen terwijl ze ‘pending’ zijn. Dit moet eerder worden opgepakt. We hebben mensen nodig die er bovenop zitten. De beste manier om dat te doen is in mijn ogen door de persoon in kwestie aan een onderzoek te onderwerpen - naar zijn vrienden te kijken, zijn artikelen, zijn battle stats - en uiteindelijk met hem te chatten op een daarvoor bestemd SCI irc channel. En mensen de eerste maanden in eNL begeleiden, zoals ook andere landen dat professioneel aanpakken.

Focus op economische stabiliteit
Daarnaast hebben we een economische/financiële denktank nodig, om de uitdaging op dat gebied het hoofd te kunnen bieden. Ik weet dat er in eNL verschillende economen leven en ik zou hen graag uitnodigen deel te nemen aan deze denktank. Mensen die in andere landen oplossingen hebben gezien, die wel blijken te werken - in plaats van de onvruchtbare debatten die we op dit moment op ons forum zien.

Focus op een actieve community
Tenslotte blijft het belangrijk dat we een actieve en constructieve community hebben, en ik wil graag verder bouwen op de vele goede plannen voor media en entertainment die recent zijn gelanceerd. Mensen hebben verder het recht om geïnformeerd te worden, en de Gov Update moet weer verschijnen, zoals ook alle overheidspublicaties tweetalig moeten zijn. Betere communicatie naar de burger, de media een nieuwe impuls geven door het stimuleren van spelers om het spel leuker te maken.

Het blijft tenslotte een spel en het moet leuk blijven!

The eNetherlands have just had two terms, in which much happened but little was achieved. This is a finding, not criticism. If it were criticism, it would be addressing everyone that hasn’t contributed in a constructive way to the political landscape. A discussion has started whether we should restructure our political system in order to give ministers a larger period of time to work out their ideas. However, I don’t think that is where we will find the answer. The answer lies in co-operation because we want to. Because we want to use the qualities and ideas of people, regardless of their political color or personal network. Because we want to focus on the things that will really help eNL. Because I want to work towards this, on behalf of Geuzen Partij Nederland I am running for Country President.

Personal qualities, insight in game mechanics and network determine the best candidate. Therefore I am glad to face a worthy opponent, that has aplenty proven to possess all. Though political differences may have caused us to stand against each other in the political arena, I will not be campaigning against Auggustus, I will simply try to convince you of my vision and focus.

As MoFa en ssMoFa, ambassador in (among others) eCroatia, one of EDEN’s most important members, but certainly outof personal intrest too, I have built a strong foreign network. Not only important for building up our countries relations with foreign allies but also to learn from the way larger countries run their nation. We should take more advantage of that. We can do much better, if we focus on the right matters.

Focus on national reconciliation
I want to start with a government of national reconciliation, in which active and talented people from all parties will be invited. This is not related to an eventual government restructure. When it comes to that issue, I belief in a government supported by coworkers that stay on for a while and take care of ongoing business, whereas a constructively co-operating team of ministers will be chosen by the CP. Preferably though not necessarily from all parties. The best man for the job! However, for matters that don’t seem to book any progress, like coaching, recruitment or a solid economic strategy, I do want to take advantage of the knowledge and experience of players from all parties, that can bundle their strengths in an advisory organ or thinktank for the government.
It works for other countries, and uses the qualities of people that do not have the time to take part in the government.

Focus on educated citizens
The first thinktank already discussed with other parties is our Taskforce Coaching, brought up by the members of GPN. A taskforce in which smart and experienced people from all parties can join to think outside the box about solutions on solutions for our structural coaching problem. To make the citizens of eNL more aware of every aspect of the game. Thus building a stronger, smarter nation.



Focus on EDEN membership
Next, becoming full membership of EDEN remains to have top priority. There hasn’t been done much (that we know of) by the past two governments about us getting full EDEN membership.
I am not in favor of a stronger bundling of forces within GEA, I would rather focus on a better coordination of our national forces, to - in accordance with EDEN HQ - prove our loyalty. We should join in heavy battles, with as much eDutchmen as possible, to show EDEN HQ and the members of EDEN what we are capable of. Besides that we want to continue our friendly relations with Terra, and especially France and Germany. And ofcourse the USA wil continue to be an important ally to us.

Focus on active foreign relations
Also I would like to continue what I started as a MoFA in Joep O’s government, namely having active ambassadors to all of our EDEN friends, but also to TERRA and also One countries; the more you know the better. That way we can make ourselves better known in the Eden community, do remember that for full membership, every EDEN member must agree on us becoming a full member. I do not believe we should set up something in GEA; that would look like we are already satisfied with that membership in my opinion.

Focus on national security
The Security Council of Immigrants is badly organized, with citizenship requests unwantedly expiring while they are still pending. This should be picked up much sooner. We need people who are on top of it. The best way to do that in my opinion is to investigate on that person by looking at his friends, his articles, his battle stats, and ultimately have a chat with the requester on a dedicated SCI irc channel. Guiding people in their first months, like other countries organize this more professionally.

Focus on economical stability
We also need a financial/economic thinktank, to overcome our challenges in that area. I know for a fact that there are several economists in eNL, and I would like to ask them to be a part of that thinktank. People who have seen solutions in other countries, that actually did work - instead of the unfruitful debates we see on our forum right now.

Focus on an active community
Finally, it remains important that we have an active and constructive community, and I would like to build further on the many good plans for media and entertainment that have recently been launched. People furthermore have the right to be informed, and the Gov Update should be reinstated, as well as all government publications should be bilingual. Better communication to the citizen, giving a new impulse to the media by stimulating players to add more fun to the game.

It is still a game, and it should be fun!
