V2, bawing and stuff

V2 was supposed to work as well as possible. To ensure this, we had a long time in closed Beta, some time with semi-closed Beta (where you could ask for access) and open Beta (everyone had an account). However, since everyone got 40 Gold in that time and since the war module was funny, no one really bothered to try the economic module. Why try and earn money that you don't need? (The same obviously goes for newspapers, where the alert-button still doesn't work.)

The economy doesn't work

So eventually, the admins had to do mistakes with the economic module. The minumum wage remained as it was in V1, with the difference that it was now a wage per hour, not a daily wage, so it was a lot higher than before, making low-skill players not profitable at all. Ok, so this was changed just the next day - after lots and lots of player complained and signed a petition.

Housing wasn't worth it

Next, a lot of players realised their houses wouldn't last forever - ok, so we've known this for a while. However, we thought formulas would be changed to make the production of houses cheaper - no, they didn't, making houses worth nothing. 30 Gold for a Q5 house lasting for 2 months? Even using gold to gain happiness is more profitable! The same goes for hospitals; they took a lot take to produce and were more expensive than everyone using wellness packs to restore wellness. However, now formulas seem to have changed.

RMs - not worth it, still most don't realize

Another thing that totally didn't work is RMs - prices dropped everywhere as admins had changed formulas so demand would go down - and this while a lot of player had stockpiled and Qualities were abolished so everyone had a lot more in stock than before! For example, prices in Russia for Titanium dropped to 0,01 Rubel. As there weren't that many harvesters, a wages rose madly - in Russia, a Guru* gets no less than 4,67. With the current prices of 0.03, you'd have to produce 156,7 units to prevent losses - that is nearly impossible. As it is, RMs are just not worth it - eventually, the market will dry up, or the admins will change formulas. They did start with this: products need more raws now, let's see whether it works.

Military - we're waiting!

Another problem is the military module not being activated - great, so now we have weapon companies not selling anything. So of course, the price war starts - some just don't produce yet, so wages for Engineers and others drop. Some will stockpile now, producing goods cheap, selling them later when demand is high - noobs might sell them with losses, newbs might not choose jobs in that area, so there might be problems ahead of us.

Actually, eRep was pretty much down today with most things unavailabla (e.g. writing articles) - I'm still waiting for all problems to be fixed. We're still in Beta, pretty much.
