This is the worst "update" I've ever seen. When you release a new version there should be some sign of progress. The only word I can think of to accurately describe version 1 is sloppy. Your inability to avoid many of the frustrations and problems users are experiencing is pathetic. Did anyone actually test this before it was released????Just using the site for 5 minutes is enough to determine it's crap. The site is slow. The single most important feature in ANY sector of the web is speed. 80% of making version 1 a success was not to release a slow and crippled new website. On this aspect you fail.The social aspect of this game is gone as far as I can see, the ability to search the database of user names is gone, or at least very well hidden. So if a user isn't already on my friends list how the hell do I find them?Finding a job as a new user is near impossible, if not impossible. All new jobs require a skill of 1, yet you start with a skill of 0.Did I mention the site is slow?You need to reach a certain level to create a company, that's great. Unless your an SO who isn't supposed to vote, get a job, or join the army.The new layout is sloppy and overly complicated for all of the things is doesn't do.You've somehow misplaced the send message feature in my inbox, I can't send messages anymore unless I'm replying to someone? Which begs the question how the hell did they message me in the first place???Ok so I have to view there profile to send them a message, the only profiles I can view are those that are on my friends list already? but low and behold I can only view a few of my friends at a time, and isn't it just great how they seem to be sorted by some random factor? So I have to sift through page after page to find them.The basis for this game is 15 minutes a day. What they left out is that 14 minutes of that 15 will be spent in frustration trying to navigate a poorly designed and incredibly slow website, and when you do get to where your going (If you get there at all.) IT DOESN'T WORK or at the very least it doesn't do what it should.

It's actually 14 minutes a day. V1 will be fixed, don't worry.
There was something really important that was pointed out by Justinious on the eUSA forums (http://erepublikusa.com/forums/index.php). He pointed out that BETA was only a "proof of concept" by the developers. This is really the Beta version of the game. This really is a different game, and a whole different world. If you look at it like that it's not as bad. Sure things are different, but that's what happens when you rewrite everything. So far all the admins have been pretty quick to fix things. It's faster, and more stable then 2 days ago. They took out all the little gold fees, and the trivia seems to make more sense. I'm getting at least 3/5 for most working/training. It seems the media is fixed with the weird spacing. So far I think it's going fairly. Should there have been more testing? Sure. Is it too late to go back? Yup. I think once they have their big release on the 21st we're going to get a ton of more citizens. Right now it's in decline because all the older users are upset it's so different. This should all turn around with new users within the month.
The one giant step backwards from Beta to V1 was the lack of information. Individuals' job/political history is gone, companies' financial details are gone, etc. I was hoping that V1 would expand in those areas, but instead they were scaled down. I'm somewhat disappointed, but hopeful that those features will come back at some point.
It should be noted this rant was rattled off after battling with the new site for about half an hour and nearly giving up entirely. I haven't left the game yet, but I haven't ruled that out.
Chahk Noir makes an excellent point, and that is one of the biggest annoyances I found with the beta was that you couldn't access enough information, and in v1 it's much worse.
The purpose of Beta is to test, when v1 comes out your supposed to have your act together. IF your product is not ready to be released you don't release it. It's simple math. They opened there big mouths and said they would be done on x, and then they realized they wouldn't be done on x, but they released anyways. That was a poor decision. Overall the admin have made a string of bad decisions and like many of the people who have already left this game, I'm very disappointed. It's not the change, it's the thoughtless change. When you look at v1, the end product is the result of very little thought, and even less testing.
Everything about v1 and the actions of the admin is just plain dumb.

They've fixed a large number of my complaints including the search bar which is not located at the top, but none the less it's very poor practice to release a product unless it is fully assed.
