The USMilitary Challenge Coin IV Presentation

Audie Leon Murphy (June 20, 1924 – May 28, 1971) was a fifth grade dropout from an extremely poor family who became the most decorated American soldier of all time. During twenty-seven months in action in the European Theatre, he received the Medal of Honor, the U.S. military's highest award for valor, along with 32 additional U.S. and foreign medals and citations, including five from France and one from Belgium.
The 1955 movie, To Hell and Back, was based on the autobiography of Audie Murphy, who starred in the film.

The Challenge Coin is currently the highest honor the USMilitary has to bestow on its members. It stands as a symbol of our collective appreciation, recognizing excellence of execution above and beyond the call of duty.

Death From Above, is proud to present the fourth installment of the USMilitary Challenge Coins series.

Today we spotlight our strongest fighters-- the "super tanks" who consistently lay down the most battlefield damage of all. Whether they own a lot of Companies or have well worn credit cards doesn't matter. I don't care if they're pullin' game gold outta their butts, they're going way past their maximum "food fights" and into spending o.5 Gold per 10 Health Points to keep on fighting. And they do it with Q5 weapons, too.

Readers will note the specially designed Challenge Coin Card, featuring along with the honorees' branch insignia, their logo and information, a bronze coin depicting an M-1 Abrams tank.
The inscription is a quote from Army General Creighton Abrams, who commanded military operations in the Vietnam War from 1968–72 and served as Chief of Staff of the United States Army from 1972 until shortly before his death in 1974. In honor of Abrams, the U.S. Army named the XM1 main battle tank the M1 Abrams.
"They've got us surrounded again, the poor bastards!"

Please be sure to see the Announcements section, below, for a word on today's prize disbursement.

USTraining Corps

General Morrigan Alexandros is the Commanding Officer of the Training Corps and the organization's top fighter. This 5000+ Strength Field Marshall** packs a 2600 damage punch with a Q5, and has earned 7 Battle Hero and 1 Resistance Hero Medals.
Morrigan's Whip It is one of five "TC Media Warriors" newspapers, where she shares her unique insight to current events and is currently promoting her run for USCongress.
TC Master Sergeant Brad Gwatney nominates Morri, saying, "Whenever you need help, she is always right there beside you no matter what rank you are to help you and guide you along your way!"
Former CJCS Jankems elaborates, "Morrigan Alexandros is a great general, fighter, and person. She is smart and headstrong - helping to keep things running smoothly in many different places - and her impact can be seen all over the military from the people she's trained to her interactions on the JCS. She is both an irreplacebale asset to the Training Corps and Military and an irreplaceable person."

USMobile Infantry

Colonel Npaidi is the Mobile Infantry's Quartermaster General, Deputy Director of Arm America, a 1x USCongressman, 4x Battle Hero and 2x Campaign Hero. A game rank Field Marshall with 4700+, Strength, his Q5 hits deliver 2400 damage.
In nominating Npaidi, Mobile Infantry Executive Officer Lieutenant General Heather Fuchs tells us, "Npaidi is a dedicated soldier who has quickly risen to become one of our best damage dealers, despite being younger than many of our other heavy hitters, and all the while playing an essential part of our branch's overall damage-producing ability by doling out supplies to the rest of our members.
Npaidi goes out of his way to help his fellow servicemen and spends most of his free time supporting the Mobile Infantry and eUSA."

USNational Guard

Lieutenant Fitisin has earned 8 Battle Hero medals, and is the Guard's M5 Platoon CO. Game ranked at General*, Fitisin's 3200 Strength delivers nearly 1600 damage with each Q5.
He also runs Citizen Fitisin, where he publishes Commentary pieces as well as "first person" stories.
USNG XO Lieutenant General Jadiv nominates Lt Fitisin, saying, "Fitisin combines a stronger battlefield performance with his able leadership of a platoon of Guardsmen. Long serving, he is known for activity at 'off' hours and can effectively bring a good amount of influence at times when it is needed."
Division 1 XO Lieutenant Colonel Jack Mensley adds, "Many soldiers who go onto other branches have fought alongside Fit in the Guard as they move up. Fitisin is often a voice for the frustration of rank and file soldiers in his shouts and articles."

USArmy

Colonel Kolv1k is the USArmy Quartermaster and is in charge of their European soldiers. A RL Estonian, he started his game in eEstonia but left as their politics became contrary to his own beliefs. Having invested heavily in Companies around the globe, after a little country-hopping he landed in the USA and the USArmy, where he intends to stay forever.
Earning 133 Battle Hero medals and 10 Campaign Hero medals, Kolv1k's 6400+ Strength and National Force game rank enable him to deliver over 3700 damage with every Q5 weapon.

USAirborne

Airborne Specialist Andy Dufresne is with the 82nd Airborne's 2nd Platoon who has earned 20 Battle Hero medals. A game rank Field Marshall**, at 6100 Strength, he delivers nearly 3200 damage with every Q5 hit.
Andy also runs the Zihuatanejo Times, where he often publishes great Public Relations pieces and currently is promoting his run for USCongress.
Airborne Executive Officer ChubbZilla nominated Andy, saying, "Andy has been with us quite a while, he has been a Platoon CO, and recently helps with processing applications. He has been helpful throughout his time in the Airborne and we hope he continues with us a long time."
82nd Airborne CO DeathAndDestruction adds, "Andy helps intake processing by contacting applicants, and was one of our longest running Platoon CO's. This powerhouse fighter has been known to single-handedly turn the tide of battles."

USMarine Corps

PFC Technician is a former Training Corps Brigadier General, a 3x USCongressman, and has earned a whopping 310 Battle Hero medals and 25 Campaign Hero medals.
USMC Executive Officer CStarlight21 calls Technician "a beast."
That pretty much covers it... Technician is a near-6400 Strength World Class Fighter beast who hits 4000 with every Q5.
But understand this... the USMarine Corps is the branch for the strongest fighters in the USMilitary, and is home to several super heavy hitters.

Joint Chiefs of Staff

I'm George Armstrong Custer, and I approved this nomination.
Rod Damon is a strange and mysterious character. He serves as head of the Strategic Air Command, organizing deployment of mobile voters around the globe as needed to help our allies ward off PTO attempts. He has served as head of the CIA, and as head of EDEN Intel. Let's face it, Rod's a big head.. you know-- floating in space, glowing in the dark, scaring little children.
In Rod Damon Was Writing, he publishes photos of hot chicks interspersed with bits of twisted humor, as well as informative and sometimes educational articles to help us in this ever-changing game.
Today we honor Rowdy Rod Damon for his indispensible role as civilian Advisor to the USMilitary Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Rod's not bad on the battlefield, either. Game ranked at Field Marshall with 4500 Strength, he delivers almost 2400 damage with every Q5.

Today's featured "super-tanks" are merely examples of power-hitters in our USMilitary. There are more. It's important to understand that we are all capable of these same accomplishments. One common key seems to be owning a lot of Companies to self fund their bonus Training and Q5 weapons. I seriously doubt any of these soldiers are wearing out their credit cards to win game medals. Focus and dedication are attributes available to us all, these soldiers just apply them vigorously.

Please join the USAirborne's Death From Above and USMilitary Command and Staff Officers in a simple demonstration of our appreciation for the personnel honored today, and snap off a sharp o7 salute in the Comments thread of this article.
Congratulations, super-tanks-- and, Thank You!

Announcements:

If I got any names, ranks, or other details wrong, please let me know via game mail.

In Wednesday's Death From Above: Movie Night, I announced a contest to run in conjunction with this Challenge Coins IV presentation.
Training Corps graduates have until this article expires of old age from the ranking page to qualify.
The first five TC grads who apply for and are accepted to another USMilitary branch will receive 5 Q5 weapons, their new unit will receive 10, and the TC will receive 10 more.
Proper procedure must be followed! Talk to your TC Platoon CO about it!

Recent Payouts:
Last week's Challenge Coins III presentation of 15 Q5 tanks to nine USMilitary soldiers.. 135 tanks.
Today's Challenge Coins IV presentation of 20 Q5 tanks to six USMilitary soldiers and one nutjob... 140 tanks.
Training Corps grads have approximately 48 hours from publication to fulfill the challenge and claim their prizes.

Kinda gets ya... right there... don' it?

Recent Donations:

Darkskye has donated $2800 today! Thanks!
Civilian jver1207 donated $1200 plus 60 Q5 tanks! Intense, man!

Send donations of your excess production or cash overflow directly to me, I do keep track and don't use them for myself. I'll acknowledge your contribution in the paper, and I give tanks to USMilitary soldiers and branches. Pretty straightforward proposition.

If you want to join the any branch of the USMilitary, the Training Corps is the place to start.

Here's the USAirborne application. Minimum Strength 1800; Barehanded Hit 400; High Activity
