USA Invasion [Day 1,198]: Floodgates Rising

Note: This is my first military-related article, so it may not be the highest quality. I plan to do a series on the upcoming USA invasion, so if you have any suggestions please speak up. Since I'm new, I take no offense to constructive criticism.



America, right now is a defining moment in our history. This game is cyclical, after a period of one side pulling ahead, the tables turn, and the attacker quickly finds himself attacked. We have reached that time. After a fairly long period of USA domination, we find ourselves being attacked on the home front. We must now mobilize, organize, join militias, coordinate attacks, move citizens, whatever it takes to come out of what is to come. I hope you're ready, things are about to get interesting again.



Western Front



Hawaii was just successfully invaded by Indonesia. The only state owned by the continental US bordering Hawaii is California, essentially bottlenecking Indonesia into attacking California if they wish to continue into the United States. From there, Indonesia can attack Arizona, Nevada, or Oregon to continue their campaign. However, the only importance the Western United States holds are the citizens already located there, since the only resources lost will be grain, fruit, and cattle, of which we have an abundance.

Note: If you are located in California, please relocate immediately. If you can't afford moving tickets, Ligtreb will supply them. If he has run out of funds, ask me, or some other Congressman. Preferably, move to Florida, so you will be safe for the foreseeable future.



Polish Overview



While Indonesia represents a problem, Poland is a more immediate (and stronger) thorn in our side. They both occupy our southern front previously owned by Mexico, and are already in the middle of our country from the remnants of a rental agreement. To attack us using these regions is the mark of a traitor, very disappointing. However, the Polish Country President (who "accidentally" proposed the eUSA as a Natural Enemy 2 weeks ago) has been permanently banned, along with numerous CP's around the globe for signing an agreement to stand against the admins of the game. This will give us time to prepare for what would have been a surprise invasion.



Southern Front



Poland has numerous options for attacking us, the most important region in sight is Baja. Baja shares an immediate border with North-West Mexico, a currently Polish-occupied region. Baja is significant since it is the only US region with the "saltpeter" resource. Losing it will equate to a 5% loss in weapon's production in the eUS, which we can't afford with a full-scale invasion on the horizon.




Central Front



If Poland chooses to attack from one of the Central regions, given to them in good faith, they could attack any bordering region of their choosing, making planning difficult. However, their prime concern should be to move South, in an attempt to invade Florida, our Capitol and final fortress, meaning Mississippi, Florida, or Georgia would be most likely to be attacked.

As with the western USA, the main resources in this region are Fruit, Cattle, and Grain, so we have little to worry about production-wise. Evacuations in this area may become frequent, however, so i advise you to buy a Moving ticket, and move to Florida in advance, so you can avoid the rush.




Some positive news on the central front is that South Dakota has recently been liberated by primarily the ST6, Ultramarines, with assistance from allying nations near the end of the battle. Good job everyone. If we can liberate Tennessee, or Illinois, we will set back Poland a great deal on their southern advance, forcing them to move through Texas.

Like I said before, now is a time to get involved. I highly advice you to join a military, or militia group. This helps both you, and America. You receive food, occasionally weapons, and a cool community to hang out in while ranking up. America gets to win more battles, along with having higher ranked citizens.

Overview




Our most pressing invasion threat is Poland, with multiple outposts both in, and around our borders. Poland threatens to invade Baja, which is needed for weapon's infrastructure. Indonesia represents no immediate threat, considering the high amount of states it has to go through to reach important regions, however should not be discounted. Other nations may become in the invasion, only time will tell at this point, friendships & alliances seem to be more fluid than in the recent past.

As the title insinuates, we are on the brink of a massive invasion. What happens next is up to us. Be proactive. Join a military unit. Work. Fight. Have fun. And most of all, good luck. We'll be needing it.
