US Experiencing a Rocky Transition?
Korbin, and several others, are reporting that some of the new leadership in this country may be having a [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-115842.html]bit of a rocky start[/a]. Some foreign leaders have expressed that they are less than happy with how they are being treated by both members of our new government and their associates. Perhaps this should serve as a reminder that while the US has been somewhat self-isolated, we still have to exist on the world stage with many other countries and cultures.
The Libertarian Party Gets a Facelift
After taking a fair amount of abuse for not adhering to strict Libertarian doctrine (although I don't know of a single ePolitical party that is correctly named, except maybe the ACU) Nave has decided to [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-115471.html]rename the Libertarian party[/a] to more accurately reflect that they have their own set of political goals. I'm sure US citizens and the world at large will appreciate this move as honesty is almost always the best policy.
Republican Leadership Up for Grabs
Maalygos has announced that while he doesn't plan on stepping down as the Republican party president, he certainly has no grand aspirations for the US Presidency. While he will continue to be an influential member within eRepublik and campaign for Congressional seats, he has [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/press_release-9071.html]opened up the party leadership[/a] in case any aspiring Republicans wish to try their hand at politics. Anyone that is interested in pushing the party to become a political powerhouse and make a run at the Presidency should PM Maalygos and arrange a public political campaign to win the party elections.
Bureaucratic Positions Available
Fledgling President Nave has announced that there will be many [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/press_release-8961.html]new governmental positions available[/a] for people who wish to get their hands dirty in the eUS, check out his announcement and speak up if you would like to help turn the US around. I hope the response you get is much better than previous attempts at volunteer labour. If you really want to get a turnout I would suggest figuring out how to pay these positions, people always respond well to monetary influence.
Why the Libertarian Party Won

In all seriousness, I don\'t think the transition is that bad. There are a couple overly, well, \"enthusiastic\" people who should have a muzzle on them, but Nave is being fairly serene, and most people are keeping a cool head.
Yeah, there was bound to be a little chafing when we move to a much different style of leadership after knowing only 1 approach that was fairly hands-off. Figured people should be made aware of what\'s up so that we could at least address that vocal minority who needs a muzzle. 😛 Nave seems to have a good handle on things and plenty of enthusiasm, I look forward to seeing what is going to come out of his administration.
There have been no foreign leaders who have expressed anything negative about what I have said to them. The only one who was unhappy about what an American citizen said (Cicero), I have talked to and things are okay now. Please, check your facts before you spread something like that.
@Nave: I know of at least 2 more, but in a more sensitive manner. They certainly arent policy makers though.
Also, you might want to mention a few more things:
Pennsylvania has a Q2 hospital -- because of the exchange rates, Benn Dover was able to get it for 16 gold.
About a dozen countries would like to form an alliance with the US - I talked to all the presidents in the world. Dhoo, the Mexican leader, suggests a Pan American Alliance with all the North/South American countries on the same time. Several European countries (some powerful ones) would like us to join their alliances. We have options.
Exchange rates have been regulated - foreign companies are starting to drop out of the US markets. The presence in the Food Industry is starting to diminish, but a few stragglers have yet to change their prices, despite losing money on each sale.
More gold in the treasury - In the first 24 hours I have been in office, I have doubled the amount of gold in the treasury (from 75 to 150).
Federal Reserve activated - Will loan out gold to banks.
I think if you dedicate an entire section to a misinformed, critical article by Korbin, you should at least mention these things.

I welcome article submissions, anyone who has an article that they think should be published should be proactive about submitting them to me instead of hoping I will find them.

@ Nave - How was my article misinformed? I was writing regarding messages that I received from specific world leaders. It is true that it was critical, but I was merely pointing out problems that have arisen quite early and thought that they should be brought out in the open before things had time to boil over. If you have it under control, then more power to ya. I just thought it was bad form to send out the notices in the first place. Give the business owners their due credit. They can figure it out.
