US N&C 3:1 -- Special Election Edition!
US News and Classifieds
The US News and Classifieds today brings you US-cetric news and current events and the opportunity for employers and potential employees to connect. This special election edition brings an inaugural address from our new President Nave Saikiliah, a new "moderator" class of citizen announced by the admins, and some renewed interested generated from this latest election -- read on for details.

Nave Saikiliah's Inaugural Address
Upon taking office our new President of the US outlined a rough draft for what will most likely be the [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/press_release-8922.html]projects in our immediate future[/a]. Congratulations to Nave and the Libertarian party on their meteoric rise to political power, I hope the enthusiasm doesn't die out just because you have made it to the top of the heap. This should be a real chance to see what different leadership can mean in the US. Keep up the hard work guys.
Elections and Moderators Soon to Come
The administrative staff once again had their hands full with the elections and the never ending battle of those who would defraud the system. On a more interesting note it seems the eRepublik staff is getting smart and starting to farm out some of the [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-113142.html]heavy lifting to the community[/a] with the advent of moderator positions within the game. This step promises to help keep discussions and the forums more organized and on-topic, in addition to offering the potential for a new law/police system (which also brings up the possibility of introducing the criminal element into eRepublik, which was [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-73041.html]discussed[/a] at length by some of our older members -- there were several other locations, but those still remain hidden to my memory). Looks like there is a lot more to look forward to besides the war module.
Elections Spark Renewed Interest in eUSA
Several posts already this morning saw the [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-114772.html]renewed spark[/a] of interest and enthusiasm after this most [a url=http://www.erepublik.com/article-114321.html]recent election[/a] in the US. It seems that a new day and the hope of change (whether good or bad, we aren't sure yet) is all it took to get people fired up about eAmerica again, I hope they are able to channel that renewed interest into productive avenues.

I, too, would like to find that bit on corruption, considering if I recall correctly I was the principle writer in that argument (big surprise) and would like to remember what it was I was arguing about. -Plat
Congrats for getting featured in the erepublik official blog!
@platonic: yeah, it was on a comment thread from one of the big stories in the past, wish there was an easy way to parse through old news.
@Nave: thanks, I thought that was pretty cool. 🙂
US News and Classifieds continues to impress me, good job.
Maal: The comments one was part of the official erep article at http://www.erepublik.com/article-73041.html . However, I made a quite frankly much better argument on this same subject on the forums somewhere. I just don\'t know where.
@Platonic: Awesome, one link down, just a few to go. I\'ll keep looking as well, but as I remember it was in someone\'s magazine who wasn\'t a very large public figure. Oh well, guess we can just argue it all over again. 🙂 I wanna see the fringe element in eRepublik! Hostile takeovers and shady business deals all the way! 😛
