US-AIM – Revolution in Action
wingfield
I have not posted an article for some time, for various reasons. Firstly, there is nothing to drain free time like moving house! Thankfully that has now been completed.
Then, after my earlier articles discussing the merits of Revolution against the existing “Unity” order, it was time to sit back and examine some practical ways of advancing the process.
Thirdly, I had accepted an invitation to join a “sixth party” to help with recruitment. Finding recruits is not so hard. Keeping people involved and interested is a greater challenge.
This brings me to my other focus of late – building up my military unit. I am proud to say that my unit, the Sherwood Foresters, has grown rapidly lately and we have found motivation in the AIM project.
Yes, the Association of Independent Militias has sparked a real revolution in the eUS. Tired of the Unity charade and an ever more remote Administration based on a select few and their tame followers, many leading military units decided to do their own thing and make a stand.
I am honored that my little unit is a founding member of AIM and stands alongside some legendary units in eRepublik. The inception of military units remains one of the few genuinely visionary innovations in the game. Together, we have achieved something monumental.
As we have seen the foreign policy of the Unity regime move ever further away from long and fruitful relationships with old friends, into the arms of old enemies and fighting for alliances and objectives increasingly remote from the interests of eUS citizens, the best way to strike back was to take matters into our own hands.
It was time to ignore the commands of our out-of-touch masters and strike a blow for American concerns and American friends. Some of the AIM leaders have also said that we should be having fun and enjoying ourselves. I do not disagree but our real mission goes much further.
A week ago, we banded together to strike a blow against Spain, in favor of our Canadian friends. Now many in the Unity government dislike Canada. They oppose Canada because of the actions of one leader who is quite unrepresentative of the country as a whole. Indeed, to condemn Canada because of the actions of that person is like condemning the eUS because of the activities of RGR and the AFA.
Our second mission was even more significant. Knowing that it was time to deal with Serbia, we concentrated on liberating a French region, thus depriving Serbia of full bonuses. This mission was totally successful and we liberated Aquitaine. Our independent military units, including the Sherwood Foresters, and not forgetting the collected old eUS military forces, did what has not been done for some time – punishing Serbia.
Now we are seeing some strange developments in the media and on the battlefield. Unity leaders are trying to scramble on to the bandwagon. A recent POTUS who enjoys belittling opponents wrote an article praising the new developments. The current POTUS, who only a few days described us as “rogue”, obtained a battle hero medal in the Aquitaine campaign. Another former POTUS is now trying to lever his way into AIM, no doubt to subvert us and steal away our glory! What he probably really wants is to neutralize us, so that Unity can resume and maintain its dominant position in the country.
To maintain the Revolution, AIM must continue its mission and must reject government interference. We must not become another arm of the Unity regime. We must fight on!

First and fighting on!
It's the facts, as far as I can tell.
"A recent POTUS who enjoys belittling opponents wrote an article praising the new developments. Just name names. 🙂
It is never too hard to work out the names! 🙂
I think the first two being fingerguns and Artela is obvious, but the third? I can think of one former president trying to lever his way into AIM, but he has not written an article and it would be for personal power not to neutralize AIM. The only other former president I have seen write an article, Josh Frost, isn't trying to lever his way in and hates Unity. So... ya lost me. :/
I do enjoy belittling opponents. You got me there.
I agree with Max on this one Wingfield; call the spade a spade and have at it.
I described the actions as rogue, yes - I know a good deal of people within the units forming US-Aim, I have many friends in there, but meh, I guess taking cheap shots at other people is what counts for good journalism in the days of fox news lol. And yes, I will fight hard for American interests on the battlefield - I would hope all Americans would do the same against Serbia.
My guess is that Oblige is the PoTUS behind door number three.
Gnilraps is the winner!
Good job!
Max, it is not Josh Frost. I'm thinking of a multiple term POTUS
Gotcha. I don't think he wants to neutralize you, just to ride the wave.
"They oppose Canada because of the actions of one leader who is quite unrepresentative of the country as a whole."
Not like they didn't elect him and his stooges... like 6 times in a row.
Like we elect people who dominate forums while any outsiders get smothered
If by "dominate" you mean "use", then yes, our forums are completely dominated by the people who use them. When are people going to stop demonizing the country forums simply because of some trolls? You realize that everyone running to their clique's forum is bad for the country, right?
By dominate I mean dominate. The "official" forums are moderated by trolls. Hence the refusal by most citizens to use them.
Strength and Honour
It is more polite to use obliques references to those you criticize rather than direct naming or other attacks. The people referred to are fellow players who just happen to differ from you, right or wrong. Isn't it still a game?
I don't respect the same Social Graces. I believe that it was Oblige.
As if many in question within that group have not already proven themselves to be guilty of Moral Turpitude? I admire your ability to maintain equanimity while dealing with the iniquitous.
You're the first to say that AIM is aiming to change our foreign policy, and I admire your candidacy. However, this brings about new questions. I trust that AIM is playing with a full deck and has people inside our executive who know or can find out the full extent of the president's plan
There is certainly a full deck. It is not necessary to have someone inside the executive when that executives considers us rogue and would rather we went away. The point of AIM is to be independent. The executive don't like that. AIM represents far more people than just the executive clique.
Not sure I'm jiving with your wording here. How is it not necessary when they consider you rouge? I would think that would make it even more necessary
And you can reply to a reply's reply like this, so I get the alert.
Thanks
For the record, we have no one spokesperson. Each MU has their own voice. Opinions expressed are those of the author.
Emerick. We are not trying to convert the executive. We gave up on that idea some time back.
Is that like curing a demon on Supernatural? Cuz that could be fun. Can I be Sam?
I would prefer you don't squelch my image of you, and stay a HAWT demon chick....
FINE. Succubus suit back ONNNNN....gawd.
US-AIM Baaaaaaaa o7
Subverter and stealer of glory reporting in!
AIM high but look out for low blows...
So when E/g/E is in office (or any flunky) it is just a big joke and chance to troll, yet when not pretend in charge, it is serious??? Give me a break cracker!
ok nigger
thanks for the compliment
Good to see you writing again, I completely agree that AIM should continue to entirely shun any and all overtures made by the unity govt to attempt to 'weasel their way into partial credit' for AIM's ability to achieve that which they could not.
Make no mistake, I am not suggesting Unity deserves no credit as they did indeed serve as a catalyst for AIM's popularity with their unwillingness to be respectful of the eAmerican citizenry as a whole. But that cannot entitle them to anything more than the eventual 'booting' from power once enough momentum exists to wholly 'reboot' eAmerica upon which the unity fearmongers should be proverbially hanged publicly until they are shunned by all within the eAmerican community.
Even when they are trying to take full credit for a *joint* operation? whatever.
By my understanding of recent events AIM indeed does deserve full credit for their efforts. If this had been a *joint* operation unity (you) would have carried your half of the weight by attacking Aquitaine immediately upon its unexpectedly joyous liberation from eSebia to give us the greatly desired momentum.
Instead unity drags its feet, and we seemingly won't even have lead once the NE proposals between eUSA and eSerbia run their course. Not surprising since the last time unity claimed initiative successfully months ago it was AJAY of all people who managed to propose the requisite law in a sufficiently timely fashion.
Have a wonderful mummy's day PotUS Artela; here in RL America it is today; not last week.
Sometimes Tiamati you need to learn that your version of truth is not all it appears to be : P
Ultimately truths regarding social events like eRepublik are usually a matter of perspective.
I've been here in the eUSA long enough to remember the JCS government since the golden days of v1 shortly after ww3 and while they were not perfect they seem to have been fairer than their unity replacements.
I am aware that I am infamous domestically for 'ragging' over taxes and govt policies but ultimately my primary focus is to promote retention within eAmerica by holding those empowered to govern responsible to private eAmerican citizens such as myself.
"No taxation without representation" is a sentiment worthy of a Socratic gadfly, wouldn't you agree?
Tiamati, let's give Artela some credit here. I'm not sure about the rest of the government officials or USAF leadership, but Artela herself did tank hard early on. That's not the portion to be upset with. The only disappointment I found with the joint operation was the congressional stalling due to people not having their crap in order. Artela's apologized for that, but if there's something to dig at, tha'd be the detail.
you guys need to get ONE spokesperson...
different people in AIM saying diff things...
For example, DMV3 stated that AIM and Artela worked together for the Aquitaine thing.
Makes you look like rookies. Get it straight.
AIM is a group of INDEPENDENT militias. If we wanted or needed a spokesman it would happen.
Calling other players rookies is another of the great elitist put-downs, up there with "you don't know what you are talking about"
there was Judy's smashing pumpkins article,, he suggested everyone to donate 0.01 off all available currencies to me...after showing his arse, he quit, but not for long...not sure how professional
Him and his buddy "buzze😛 someone else's radio show...professional courtesy maybe?
Leaving again, but with chickensguy in charge of a top five, which then was handed over to Ajay, the same party renamed WTP, am I right Judy?
maybe the term is spiteful and I think that is more amateur than pro
Older strong players do have a tenancy, they will try and run anything they can. Can you co-opt some of them not as fronts but as mentors and advisors to a new crop of leaders? Maybe there are a few who have skill and knowledge, willing to share, old, jaded and lazy enough not to want to work but to guide.
Did somebody say lazy? I'm in.
No members are held with higher regard than the rest.
As far as titles; We have busy bodies, public speakers and some private investors. None of us are in a position, to decide, "who does what."
But, many insist, "That's the way that it has to be." That's the, exact, reason that I didn't join their MU.
I thought UK politics was terrible....
It is but it is kiddies hour compared to here
