Update: The status of diplomacy with Taiwan, and how it would affect our region
Chise E Tamai
Well.
From the recent event, I think it's fair to say that we all felt frustrated and disappointed, to some sort of degree. I tried my best to convey this feeling to Taiwan; and, as a response, I got the following answers:
1. That Taiwan will release three regions, Kanto (we already have), Tohoku (they are releasing it right now, in this RW), and Hokkaido (probably after the CP election). This is to show that they still do desire to be a friend, and wouldn't (and couldn't, due to the game mechanism) ever just wipe eJapan in that short amount of time again. It's also to show that, Taiwan still want to have faith in the majority of eJapan citizens, as to be wanting to be friendly, and can make the extremist insignificant if the proper chance is given.
2. That the reason why Taiwan had this wipe was because it was thought that the result of this election would make eJapan an enemy again, particularly because somebody who just fought against Taiwan showed up in the election as the 4th party leader, with his friend being the leader of the biggest party.
3. That they also want to be able to see friendly-ish from eJapan side, and would watch the next two elections (CP & PP) as an indicator of what it is that eJapan has and try to present.

The above are the meanings transcribed in the, well, most polit-ish form. I can also present what I can probably safely say what Taiwan has in mind by using a much more direct, but lesser polite quote:
"We [Taiwan] are trying to be eJapan's friend, but what the hell is eJapan doing by letting our enemy to be there?"
Right.
...╮(╯_╰)╭
Well.
The problem has been, and always had been, the definition of "enemy"; with that in mind, I hope a more efficient method on making this definition to be equal on the both sides can be constructed.
Well, that being said..
Many people wonder whether or not I will run for the next presidency. I will have to tell everyone here that the answer is I don't know, and the reason I don't know if I am still running is because of RL. I will make an announcement again, when I finally can be sure (to a degree, at least) on what state things would be like in April.

eJapan puppet to eRoC who is puppet of eChina, very nice! 😃
I am happy eJapan is back.
Thank you Chise.
You really need to run again Chise
"...because somebody who just fought against Taiwan showed up in the election as the 4th party leader..."
"...but what the hell is eJapan doing by letting our enemy to be there?"
Looooooool,are you eJapanese dudes that much of spineless bastards? You say you want to be an independent country or whatever you call your status when you're unoccupied,yet you let Taiwan dictate your internal affairs. What are you,nine? Does it really take that little for the Taiwanese government to use cheap platitudes and euphemisms for "you do what we say and obey" and almost everyone of you swallows that as an act of "good will" and "friendship"...Sickening.
Thank you Chise for sucking eRoC's smelly... you know what, but how you can call yourself independent and 'free' is a little a odd.
I appreciate the update, Chise. voted.
That is a great news. I'm only afreaid because this sentence:
"We are willing to show you our sincerity to prove our relationship. Hope citizens of eJP can understand that as long as those SKers are still in eJP and trying to steal resources from eJP to help eSK and ONE, we won’t negotiate with eJP."
Chise! Can you show us the agreement?
I think we also don't now what we really promised to Taiwan!
Please tell us what is "prohibited"! I think nobody want to do against the agreement!
"Though the NE proposal which passed at the end of this month was a part of our agreement, but we don’t really want to do that. And we know some of eJP citizens can’t understand that."
@Pyrotech22
If you have no idea what you're talking about, please refrain from commenting.
@Geezus
I'm not an official here, as I know, there's no new agreement (its always been the 2 : ATO and not funding/fighting for eSK, I think).
I think Chise is doing great in that tension by not giving up the communication in a mild way.
I dont told there is new agreement!
I just don't know the details! I just don't want such a surprise as before the election!
I think we dont do anything againt the agreement what i was know.
I don't think any individual comment was all that out of line, Nozomi. After all, it was only a comment, and we love democracy, and free speech. Right?
@Geezus
That's a gray area, the information I received was "eJP is highly likely failed to ATO", and its a risk whatever to do the attack or not. I personally consider that action was came with a rush and surprised ROC civilian as well, that could not be a precisely planned action (I myself felt sorry about that).
As I know, we too do not want that happen again, things like that will lever the hostility, therefore the negotiation of releasing more region was done.
This article is a great insight. However, this is my concern. The eROC seem to think they can exert perfect control over every last aspect of the body politik in eJapan. Up to, and including, who we vote for, the parties we make, and the battles fought by individual citizens. This seems unreasonable to me, and unrealistic as well.
These improvements and the persons behind the negotiations are amazing. Thank you.
Regarding the article we also have to define the word 'friend', right? Can we be friendly to a nation who kept us from having congress for many months? My opinion: yes. I always give a second chance to all.
However, for me its hard to become an ally of Taiwan, who is still occupying many of our regions, and are intending to hold onto them, and they keep the pro-ONE country SK under complete occupation. Can we become an ally to such a country? My opinion: No. I can't see a reason why I have to help someone who is abusing its power to oppress other countries, including eJapan.
I will continue to be friendly to all Taiwanese players, but I won't help them in their battles, and they can't tell me where I should or should not hit. I will continue fighting for freedom!
v
"but I won't help them in their battles, and they can't tell me where I should or should not hit. I will continue fighting for freedom!"
Just as i say, the player have their own act to war on any region they want. There is only two thing government can do is to set Campaign of the day and Daily Order. That's it.
Nozomi,I find it pretty easy to believe that most of you didn't know what was going on in eJapan.Do you even seek any meaning behind the words of the Taiwanese at all?! Or you just see plain text on the paper?
"2. That the reason why Taiwan had this wipe was because it was thought that the result of this election would make eJapan an enemy again, particularly because somebody who just fought against Taiwan showed up in the election as the 4th party leader, with his friend being the leader of the biggest party."
In other words : "Since you're retarded we're gonna write&send a retarded letter to your government and nation...Because whatever we put on that paper,your people (well,not all of them to be honest) will take everything for granted,just like your government did.We KNOW that you KNOW you're militarily inferior to us,so we be blackmailing you for whatever the stupid reason.Your economy sucks ass big time,fighting capabilities and complexity of the military tactics seem to be a million miles away from your perception and even a mere street brawl looks like too much of a strategy for you,whatsoever. However,we don't see what really the difference between free and occupied eJapan is anyway,so we're gonna flex our "diplomatic" skills a bit and have a ball at the same time,why not?!
So what's the point? I,for one,know dozens of,for instance,Australian,Romanian or US citizens,prominent members of their military units who have supported RWs against Taiwan,tanked and acquired medals whether it was a RW or a mercenary medal and I don't fckn' see Taiwan blackmailin' these countries,not one bit. So go on and expect mercy from Taiwan and China,believe every single word they say...And maybe one fine day,they'll let you have a region or two without any further questions...If you beg them some more,that is...
@Pyrotech
Yeah but the difference is that Australia, Romania, and the USA don't share borders with Taiwan (except the sorta the latter, the USA, but they're orders of magnitude stronger than Taiwan anyway). Also, we're a sadly a relatively weak nation--and our military really isn't strong enough to fight the Chinese, which are backed by EDEN as it is anyway. Plus, endlessly fighting will not do us any good, it would be beneficial for Taiwan to stay in control if we do fight for their protection and ease of maintaining their empire. Additionally, if we have no land, there's little to no chance of a a baby boom, no one would want to stay here and we'd have no chance of getting stronger anyway.
So long story short, it sucks the big one, but I think this "fake diplomacy" is unfortunately the only viable option atm and I think a lot of people here agree with me.
ahava please don't speak like you know everything already
Then what details am I missing? Feel free to fill me in. That's just the logical conclusion I've arrived at based on what I know atm. (None of that is sarcasm)
