Update from PCP HQ - Yes, we're still here

Day 320, 01:53 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Stan Wephen

Just to remind everyone after the recent General Elections, the People's Communist Party is still here, and despite having lost the Presidency, we will continue to help in government and in congress. We are as dedicated as ever to making sure the eUK is improved for everyone, and are aiming to come back into the next General Election stronger than ever!

Party Elections

With the Party Elections coming up rapidly, the choice comes upon each PCP member once again to choose their leader. A general forum consensus has been made to make Stan Wephen the Party President of the People's Communist Party, with widdows9000 as the Country President nominee. For those of you not in the know, with the release of version 1 for E-republik, the party president of each political party can now choose a country president nominee, so the PP is not necessairly the one who becomes CP.

Join the forums!

The People's Communist Party still wants YOU to join the forum and help us on our quest to better the eUK. It doesn't matter about your political experience, or indeed, any experience whatsoever. We want to hear what you have to say, and the best way to do that is to come onto www.erepublik.co.uk, click on the forum link at the top and sign up for the People's Communist Party forum under the Party forum section.

PCP buddies!

Just to let you guys know, the PCP is continuing to run its Buddy Scheme, where one of the more experienced PCP members is assigned to one of the newer ones. This will help new citizens get a footing on their new eRepublik lives, and give our bunch of older PCPers something to do! So, what are you waiting for? Personal Message me, Stan Wephen, if you're interested in participating!

PCP still in power?

The People's Communist Party still continues to be a major prop in keeping the government together, and has several ministers and mayors throughout the eUK. We have 6 mayors: Keitarour in Bristol, Bremer in Cardiff, Bob Boblo in Newcastle upon Tyne, Reshev Villanova in Norwich, Relic in Nottingham and Baljet in Oxford. We have 11 congressman: widdows9000, Tim09, Bremer, Deilos, Relic, Cheeseball, Bob Boblo, Stan Wephen, Mephit, Kumnaa and Saladin32. We have 5 ministers: widdows9000 as Minister of Defence (with Deilos as under-secretary of Defence), Tim09 as Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bremer as Minister of Finance, Cheeseball as Minister of Work and Stan Wephen as Minister of Education. The PCP has, and always will be, as essential part of the eUK government.

Get to know the PCP member: widdows9000

widdows9000 is the current Party President of the People's Communist Party. Although having narrowly lost the General Elections in October, he continues to work hard for the eUK and the government, continuing his highly successful role as Minister of Defence for the 3rd term in a row. His crowning achievements include introducing the 'War Protocol' and the 'War Council', both of which were designed to stream-line situations regarding a declaration of war, allowing the military to respond quickly to emergency events.

What are the PCP doing now?

The People's Communist Party is currently in a stage of building upon its previous successes, as well as creating some new proposals. We're currently in the stage of writing our party constitution, which, when written, will hopefully make people better aware of what we stand for. We are also working on the proposals for a 'Skilled Workers Scheme', a 'House of Lords' (note that we're not actually going to put Lords in there), and a 'National Business Association'.

Why should you join the PCP if you haven't already

Because we continue to be the most dedicated to the eUK, and to its own party. We welcome all players, both new and old, from all backgrounds and diversities of political opinion. We want to be a party of the people, not a party of elitists, and that's why we're appealing to you - join us, and we can make the eUK better together.
