As most of you know, Aeriala had asked me to be the MoD for his term, He has been a friend right from the early days and i accepted without a second thought.

But anyone who knows me, knows that i dont say things just to be liked, if i dont like something i say it, no bull shit, no ass kissing, nothing.

The MAP CP nomination uproar was, i feel, a misunderstanding.

But i do believe that his comment's on Jacobi's paper, and him calling out Jacobi in IRC (logs can be found here)was not the right thing to do.

I am disappointed at the comments, mostly at its immaturity and vulgarity.
I do feel that Addy would've handled a similar situation quite differently. I've always supported Addy whenever he ran for CP. And this time is no different. I'll be voting Addy "The Daddy" Lawrence.

However i would like to make it clear that if Aeriala does win, and doesnt change his mind about me being MoD, i will do whatever is necessary to perform at the best of my abilities and perform the MoD duties without a shade of politics.

I've never been a politician, just a citizen.

I've operated on many occasions as the Minister of Finance to Prime Ministers I didn't actually vote for. Accepting a cabinet position does not mean you necessarily believe that person is the best person to do the job, it is more about your belief in yourself and your desire to work for the people.

I accept your belief Damien and would not think of removing you as MoD. People do not have to see eye to eye on everything and I chose you because you are a friend and I believe in you. You have your own opinion and I do not hold it against you, that is the way life should be. As always I look forward to working with you.
