Ukrainian MOFA statement. 5/2012

Ukrainian Ministry Of Foreign Affairs is pleased to make the following statement:

As you may know, following Poland-Belarus war, the truce has been signed between Poland-Belarus-Lithuania with Ukraine being an external observer. Belarus government kindly offered Ukraine the control of its two core regions in order to compensate Ukraine for its willingness to interfere in this possibly disastrous situation.

The time has come to properly return these regions to its righteous owner as agreed. Ukraine will initiate the process of release of Mahylowskaya region effective immediately, so that Belarus government will be able to hold elections in this region. As far as Homelskaya region goes, we will follow with previously agreed course of action.

Therefore, Ukrainian MOFA requests its allies and MPP partners not to fight on Ukraine’s behalf in Mahylowskaya region. We are returning this region back to Belarus. Moreover, you’re more then welcome to support Belarus side in this endeavor.

Additionally, we ask Ukrainian citizens to try to minimize their efforts and impact as well in this battle. We need to stick to previous agreements, and it would be unacceptable not to follow through.

Again, we are thankful to our Belarus friends and we will honor our agreements. We are looking forward to future cooperation and collaboration.


Separately, there’s another issue we’d like to discuss- the situation with Russia (more specifically the declaration of NE by both side). At the present time no official declarations will be issued; we will have a special statement issued no later then tomorrow. Until then, we ask Ukrainian citizens to refrain from making any speculative comments. Thank you

Українське МЗС повідомляє про те, що ми розпочинаєм процесс здачі контролю над Могильовским регіоном, як і було попередньо домовлено з нашими Білоруськими друзями, для того щоб вони могли провезти там вибори.

Ми закликаєм наших союзників не бити за Україну в тій битві. Також ми закликаєм Українців утриматись від ударів - нам дуже важливо дотримуватись домовленностей тому давайте без ексцессів )

Ще раз дякуєм нашим Білоруським друзям та сподіваємось на подальшу співпрацю!

Окремо зауважимо, що Україньске МЗС пильно моніторить ситуацію з оголошенням НЕ. Наразі просимо утриматись від будь яких спекулятивних дій чи комментарів, принаймі поки ми не оголосим офіційну позицію по цій темі.

Плюс ще пару цікавих флеш новин.

Болгари не підтримали вступ Турції до Едену (як і Канадці і Ірландці). Сподіваємось ця ситуація не вплине негативно на стратегічний баланс Чорноморського регіону.

Болгари відкрито підтримують Чілі в Аргентино-Чілійскому конфлікті. В світлі того, що ми на стороні Аргентини, нам треба дуже обережно висловлюватись по цій темі.

Еден висловив незадоволення позицією Китаю по громадянствам. Китай пообіцяв змінити процедуру.
