Intoduction
As the Resource Wars drawing to a close...we now know the UK's set of resource bonuses for the future.
I thought I'd draw together some of my thoughts and findings and share them for discussion. I've published them in the Daily eWorker as they are not official Ministry of Finance or Government or Congressional guidance just my own views. I'd also advise your read widely in regards to company placement and keep a look out for further information from the admins.
Resource Wars Update With Questions And Answers
As a reminder; Source
Company Placement
You will be able to place your Companies in one or more Regions of your choice, after the event ends. Once a Company is established in a Region, the Company can be relocated for a cost (relocation is subject to constraints that will be announced later on).
Country Productivity
The Country productivity will be calculated using the current formula, as the sum of resources bonuses for each industry. If the region is not linked to the Country capital, half of its resources productivity bonuses will be used in the formula. If the Country has 2 or more Resources of the same type, only one will be used in the formula.
Company Productivity
The productivity of a Company will be computed as the sum of Country productivity bonus and a percentage of the productivity bonus of the Region where the Company is located. Regions will be affected by a pollution factor that is based on the number of “works” done in the Region in the previous day. Basic formula : productivity_bonus = country_productivity_bonus + % of region_productivity_bonus - pollution
Working as Manager
You will be able to work as manager in a Company only if you are located in the Region where the Company is established.
If the Company is in a Region (historical or under occupation) of a country that has an open War with your Citizenship Country, your productivity as manager will drop.
The Work Tax percentage for WAM (Work as Manager) will be the one of the Country where the Company is located. The tax income will be split unevenly between the Country where the Company is located and the the Country of Citizenship of the manager.
Working as Employee
You will be able to hire employees on the job market of each Country where you have Companies established.
You will be able to assign “works” between your Companies no matter where the work was acquired or the company is located. This is subject to change in the future.
The productivity of an employee whose citizenship country has an open war with the country of citizenship of the owner of the company will be affected, and the salary received will be based on that productivity.

Thoughts
Food Productivity
The UK has done fairly well with food bonuses with Yorkshire and Humberside, there is the potential to chase better increase productivity in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Germany, Murcia, Spain or South Dalmatia, Croatia in Europe as well as some other regions unlisted however if company placement remain low to Yorkshire and Humberside and our tax rate is lower in comparison to those countries with increase food productivity regions it could be a pleasant region to place your food companies and avoid pollution (although the impact of pollution is a big unknown still).
My verdict - Be proud of your British produce and stick to the UK
Weapons Productivity
It's fairly hard to make a case for placement of weapon companies in Scotland as low pollution / low taxes might be just as equitable for Mayo as it's in a fairly similar geographically position I suspect Spain and Poland (maybe one or two other countries) will draw the European high productivity bonuses chasers. However 25% + 25% with low pollution might not be too bad if you are keen your work tax goes into the UK revenue stream.
My verdict - Move production to Mayo, Ireland or La Rioja, Spain possible Pomerania, Poland however it'd be good if that our allies benefit from your work tax.
House Productivity
Again it's fairly hard to make a case for placement of house companies in North East of England although again 25% + 25% with low pollution might not be too bad if you are keen your work tax goes into the UK revenue stream. Spain or Georgia looks like good options although a large amount of house company owners might be thinking along the same lines.
My verdict - Move production to Canary Island, Spain - a good long standing ally of the UK.
New Industry Productivity
I think they'll be a base productivity in the UK? however if you are keen on making an impact in this new industry maybe join the rest of the citizens looking to do so in Balochistan. However if you are just going to dable maybe see what UK base productivty looks like or locate your new companies in Spain.
My verdict - Start production in Asturias, Spain - a good long standing ally of the UK.
A mix of companies...
Fight for the UK and work in Spain seems like a good option as it'll keep your productivity high and your travel costs down. Just keep those food companies in the UK to help generate revevue for the UK.
Close
I'll try and update my thoughts in a future article when the final details are released about pollution and travels costs as well as further information about the new industries is released. Also finally please share your own thoughts, let me know if I've gotten anything wrong or missed a good region for company placement or even if I've not fully realised the benefits of keeping your weapons and houses British Made.
Thanks for reading

This region will be polish, you should think about it if there are wars or trade embargos
ffs lads you really did bad :/
The CP, thinks we did ok.
Could have been way better, but could have been quite worse too, the main problem in your bonuses are those two fishes and the good faith of your goverment... which shocked me btw.
The cp thinks it could have gone worse. Not that we did ok
The CP threw a lot of fish around and then the MoD died and stopped giving everybody info for what we were actually supposed to be doing, it was quite unfortunate really.
Again, priorities were set before I took the job
*somebody else threw fish around
shit man you think I know how the resource wars work?
Really good job, voted subbed and endosed
Excellent informative article. This stuff needs demystifying.
Thanks VM
Great article and information, but there is so much we don't know as yet.
Here's a few things I can think of for starters.
Pollution and its effects on production
Company relocation costs and restrictions
Will the cost of moving between locations remain the same as current?
Work Tax split proportions for WAM between country of factory location and citizenship country
What will be the percentage of region productivity bonus?
Employee production affected at point/time of work - currently an employee can be stored for use at any time that may be more productive to the employer. It has been hinted that in future there will be changes to the ability to assign works between companies without restriction.
Companies will to be subject to trade embargos. Does this mean that production from a factory located in a country which is the subject of a trade embargo from your citizen country will be prevented from being sold on the market of your citizen country? If so how will the stored goods produced in one country be differentiated from other identical products in storage produced in another country?
New industry is Planes, but what will they do?
Regional Government and Taxes - what will these be?
Thanks Paul, A comprehensive list of questions that need a comprehensive set of answers before the placement of any companies.
Hopefully we'll get some answers from the admins soon and I'll try include all this information into a future article for UK company owners
For now, I'm close to leaving all my companies in the eUK...
Definitely keeping my food companies in the eUK but not sure what to do with weapons yet.
Not particularly worried about a loss of productivity so much as a loss of taxes from people taking their companies out of the eUK.
Will probably stick to weps in Scotland and food in Yorkshire.
Looks like my new pwning air-plane industry will be all the way in sodding Pakistan.
marvellous
Will pollution draw the distinction of political vs physical borders. Being an island nation, we could expect to fair well from a pollution modifier. Seperately, maybe the aquatic lean and no heavy industry of airplanes be positive on the pollution front.
Still too many questions, but many thanks to Huey for keeping a difficult discussion alive in the public forum.
Kinda sucks to have different companies and having to move around to work, but having the chance of placing companies on other countries is cool...
Although Spain seems to be a logical place to move the companies, they tend to lose their regions for longer periods than eUK does... (no offence)
Thank you Huey for the detailed analysis

Are they trying to piss everyone off this game or what?
They're not trying. They're succeeding.
Silly game
Could we make some kind of agreement with an allied country where we send weapon producers to them in return for splitting tax receipts from their production
I had that same idea- Great minds
what a load or bollox all this is
Just something to consider when placing your companies in holdings - there is no reason why you can't have a weapon factory holding in both Spain and Poland (for example) in order to hedge your bets.
