UIP - Next Months Party President Elections
Joshua Hoss
I would like to announce that I will not seek re-election for the role of United Independents Party President. I would also like to announce that I will endorse my current Vice President, Stygian Steel, for that role if he decides to run.
The last month has been a very exciting and busy month. Immediately after assuming the role as UIP PP we underwent the “Primary” and “Seat Freeze” issues. Needless to say that was very long and polarizing event. I am glad to have been there for it, to have expressed our party’s wishes, and to have had the chance to show that the UIP isn’t just another part – it is a group of people that put the well being of the eUSA before their own goals.
We also underwent a change in the cabinet structure. While it was a big one it did allow more people to become involved in the party in new ways. I am proud to have been able to assist in that, to have been able to greet new members as they became more involved, and to have had the chance to work with many new people on many new ideas. I really do love the UIP, it is the best party hands down!
As I stated above I will endorse Stygian Steel on the 15th. I have made my plans known unofficially and he has been brought up to speed. One of the reasons I decided to run last month for President was because there was no clear cut other person. I have seen what happens to other parties when there is friction at the top levels and I didn’t want that for the UIP. Having been able to serve as President and allowing Stygian the chance to help manage the UIP was a great way to make sure that someone was there to take over. I hope that the UIP continues to use this plan in the future. Although Independent, we have been, are, and should always be “united” towards making the eUSA the best country in the New World.
I had the opportunity to work under Ansen, one of the best players in the game, for three months. He taught me a lot about the game, people, and the UIP. I owe many things to him and hope that I have made him proud with what I was able to do with the UIP in my short sting. I also hope that Stygian looks back on his time as VP with fondness. I wasn’t always the best person to work with, but everything I did was for the betterment of the UIP.
I am not sure what retirement holds for me yet. I plan on still being involved with the UIP, perhaps as an advisor or some other role. I also plan on maintaining my contacts and friends that I have made not just in the past month, but the past year as a member of our great party. I thank you all for your support and hard work. I will remember it always.

I think you mean shoot the nation in the foot.
HR - Thanks man, I appreciate you being an adult. Maybe better management of the AF votes you guys had would have helped? 🙂
HR is an adult?
I forgot. Thanks Nonesuch. 🙂
Hoss you did and amazing job through a bad time. You leave big shoes to be filled, but Stygian can do it!

Hey, maybe if you were an adult and put the nation above party politics (rea😛 your party getting as many seats in congress as possible) we wouldn't be here. Or, rather, maybe Canada would be here.
Who knows.
Thank you for your work as Party President and your dedication to the party and it's values Hoss. You've done a lot in continuing to organize this party and working to stand up for our members. I hope to continue working towards turning the UIP into a well oiled machine and reaching the party's maximum potential as the next UIP Party President.
HR - You just keep proving my adult statement. Also, I really like the "if you had done what I wanted you to do eCanada would still be here and we wouldn't be in this mess" attempt. The UIP sent as many people to the AF as it could. We did better than some other parties. What you and those in charge did with their votes belongs on your record, not mine. Go be bitter somewhere else HR and leave me alone.
You sent as many people as you could? Then why didn't you just endorse a primary/vote freeze? Isn't that kind of counter productive?
And 'as many as you could', meaning as few as you could spare while still making sure UIP got ample congress seats.
good grief harrison. There were legitimate reasons for not supporting that seat freeze. I don't know what your problem is with Hoss, but please give it a rest.
What were the legitimate reasons?
HR - I am sorry not everyone agreed with you. Welcome to life. There were many reasons for not endorsing the primary/freeze plans. Please read the United Independent Party's article on the matter (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/pp-election-speech-and-econgressional-seat-freezing-860422/1/20). Also, please don't make things up. We sent as many people who wanted to go to the Air Force as we could. We did put all of our vote moving programs on hold, and instead focused on informing people about the Air Force. Once again, leave me (and the UIP) alone. I get that you don't like me. Really I don't care. Move on. 🙂
You did a great job Hoss and I know my good friend Stygian will continue the great work you and Ansen started. The world needs more leaders not followers.
Jamarcus: "The world needs more leaders not followers."
Well said
HR-You have no room to talk
How so Bill?
You are pointing fingers at other people for the war. I am not saying you caused the war but neither did Hoss so dont even begin to blame the UIP for mistakes
Enough!
I can not support a party that is going to blame the war on the just defeated president. Sure, he had his part as Sec State and Pres, but many of the issues predate his office.
I'm not going to support an e😜resident that is going to point fingers at a minority party. In case you didn't notice, there were even people in the UIP arguing for the seat freeze (me for one).
Shame on both of you. I'm sure PEACE is laughing their PEACEful butts off.
Okay I will stop but I didnt think I said anything bad
I said that Harrison didnt cause the war but neither did Hoss so he shouldnt be pointing fingers
My two cents
Bill, my comments were directed at HR and Hoss.
Oy vey guys.
We should all be sensitive to HR. Everyone knows he just hit puberty, and the mood swings are awful at the beginning. Take a Zoloft?
Genghis - Sounds good. I just wasn't happy to have someone come onto my goodbye article and troll it. Ex-President or not. 🙂
Wow! Were still quibbling over the seat freeze and then to say that the UIP caused our situation and Canada to fall. What?? Grow up!!
Using "grow up" to validate your argument is something a 13 year old would say.
I'll avoid the inevitable pun.
Cut it out everyone. This is why Emerick is President and had my vote.
Wow guys, I didn't know it was possible to be even more of a drama queen than a gay 0_o
HR, we understand your grief; we've all already received a piece of your mind. Reiterating it only makes you look like a troll, which you are not.
Everyone else, HR has expressed his opinion; that's perfectly alright. Let's move on?
Hoss, you took office in a very troubling time, indeed! I was delighted to see that you could actually handle yourself and stick to our guns in such a crisis. Thank you for being awesome 😃
I can't wait to work with Styg!!!
You did a wonderful job Joshua! I hope you enjoy retirement 🙂
Maybe you have thought about rejoining the military?...
😉
Thanks for the kind words.
Feel free to come hang out with me at the nursing home any time. 😛
Cstarlight - Thank you for your support! I have been thinking about it, but I don't want to drag my baggage into any branch.
Ansen - If I can get three meals and any medication I want then I am in! Maybe you could use a roomate? We can swear at each other and then forget all about it 5 minutes later!
Bummed!
Thanks for everything Joshua Hoss!
Cheers!
Did anyone care that you were elected to anything?
