TRC: Top National Forums
Kaleb
If you think that the main Erepublik forums are where the action is at you would be very wrong! Most forum discussions that take place in Erepublik actually take place in the various national forums that have been set up by the Erepublik citizens themselves.
One big advantage of these forums is of course that you can have much more detailed discussions with less of the usual trolling that you can get on the main forums and more importantly, people can discuss in their own langauge!
Comparing the national forums is also an interesting rea😛
Format = Country (population/forum population) total posts
1 Indonesia (2226/1071) 29780
2 UK (666/513) 26813
3 Sweden (1988/1376) 21393
4 Spain (2216/84😎
17293
5 Italy (1480/363) 3478
6 Portugal (483/342) 9791
7 Norway (765/282) 6626
8 Romania (1583/370) 5092
9 France (298/166) 3949
10 USA (965/157) 2618
11 Ireland (158/89) 1529
12 Canada (270/103) 1392
13 Hungary (520/46) 286
14 Venezuala (354/59) 263
Ranked in order of total posts obviously. I think it's fair to say that UK has the most active forum relative to the size of it's population! Apologies if I've missed anyone.
I reckon there are probably over 6000 people registered on external national forums at the moment. And there are probably a few hundred people logged in to national forums at any one moment in time. In the UK many of our population actually spend more time on our national forum than we do on Erepublik itself.
An updated list of all Erepublik national forums can be found here:

Very interesting. Good article. =o)
The external forums are the key to success in Erepublik. I\'ve always supported the eUK forums and have reformed them in the past so they are more user friendly.
My advise to any country president is get your citizens using them. It can only help.
why italy is on the fifth position ?
eAustrian (slovenian forum)
( 625/257) 3680
\"you can have much more detailed discussions with less of the usual trolling that you can get on the main forums\"
I guess that\'s not quite true... at least in Spain!
eIrish forums are a little silent. We are working on it though 🙂
In my opinion the \'activity of a community\' can be calculated with the following formula:
1-users activity * %registered citizens
= (#posts/#registered) * (#registered/#citizens)
= #posts/#citizens
why?
[1-users activity]
the UK forum works with invite share. There are registered people who only post one message. Some users are also inactive and quit eRepublik. This part of the calculation expresses the activity of the forum.
[%registered]
Its important that all users are registered on the forum. So this expresses the present-rate of the citizens
so the product of both gives us the activity of the community.
for Belgium is this
1-users activity: 642/50 = 12,84
%registere😛 50/(64+26) = 0,556 (in case we forget the complete inactive namur)
or else: 50/(64+26+22) = 0,446
=> community activity
(without Namur): 12,84 * 0,556 = 7,14
(with namur): 12,84 * 0,446 = 5,73
for UK:
1-users activity: 26813/513 = 52,26
%registere😛 513/666 = 0,77
=> community activity:
0,77 * 52,26 = 40,24
still a good result 🙂
good article kaleb. I agree that any e-uk citizens who don\'t log into the e-uk forum are really missing out.
That big and still eIndonesian are trying hard to invite more Indonesian player to join the forum. We try to persuade them to junk-ing in the national forum rather than in the ER forums/news.
It need dedicated people to organize and coordinate things. You could be sure that this hold major role in your country military might.
congrats to everyone in forum.erepublikindonesia.com
the most active erepublik forum even though they didn\'t put the link in Erepublik Forums section on Erepublik Blog
btw Kaleb, you forget to mentioned that Belgium forum should also be in that list with 50 members and 642 posts 😁
Bah,Uk are just a bunch of spammers! 😛
But just note there have only been 50 visits from the erepublik blog, and 50 from the wiki over the past month and a half.
When I first decided to open a national forum in Romania (December last year) I never thought it could reach these numbers in such a short period of time. Now, after I joined the team I realized (again) how important are these websites (not only forums) for the Erepublik community. I congratulate each founder, moderator or member of these forums for their work.
\"I congratulate each founder, moderator or member of these forums for their work.\"
This.
\"And there are probably a few hundred people logged in to national forums at any one moment in time. \"
I never thought of this before... really interesting! 🙂
/v/ probably has more posts then all the forums together.
in the main forums you mean? that\'s probably true and also part of the reason why national forums are so popular!
\"why italy is on the fifth position ?\" - Doh! a mistake, well spotted.
And isnu - yes, Belgium should also be on the list. interesting thing is that all that activity has come since the merge with the UK and was also set up by Jordy Quinto I believe. shows the fear of Belgium becoming a \'ghost town\' country was unfounded. you can still have a vibrant community and economy without being independent.
I hope we will be able to find inventive ways for Belgians to have as much autonomy as they can get in the UK, so we will try and set up a devolved parliament for Belgium
Well, it looks like I\'ll have to pass on a link to eIsrael\'s fledgeling forum on this list.
Wow.. I never knew..
Btw, could u all vote for this? http://www.erepublik.com/article-322052.html
😃
Although Netherlands national forums have always failed, at the moment, the forum of the biggest party in Netherlands is acting as the national forum, discussing domestic and international political and economical situations.
That forum has 79 registered members and 3298 posts, which would make it a top10 😉
you\'re right dionysus - thanks for pointing that out. make sure NL forums are also in the MyErepublik list if they are not already 🙂
Good article .. Interresting
