SVV Rage Quits eRep
His article was quickly deleted.
I did not get to see it, but the text was provided to me. I've attempted to reconstruct it here:

A lot of you guys were cool. A lot of you weren't. I'm not gonna mention names, but I want to say thank you to all my old friends. Have a good one.

Rage Shout:

Escape!

SVV is certainly not the first to do this.. players leave the game every day. Some go quietly, just stop playing or maybe leave an article or a shout with some explanation.. others rage. Some rage for a while before quitting, sometimes it's just out of the blue, like this one.
SVV has a bunch of companies-- enough to self fund serious daily tanking, which propelled his Strength level to enable him to join the Marines.
He writes damn good articles, and had just published in the Marine Corps Post about the battle for Hawaii and his intent to run a special series called "Leathernecks: The American Warfighter."
SVV is the sole candidate for the US Defense Party presidency, an example of his leadership and organizational skills.
His RL afforded him plenty of time to play, even as an active duty Army Cavalry Scout.
It's not like he didn't have time, or sucked at the game and was failing.

Like recently departed Gulden Draak, my friend SVV went out on top.

So, What Makes Players RAGE?!

I'll quote from one of my least favorite players and writers, Josh Whitehead, because in his article today he really hit the nail on the hea😛
"Im guessing there’s more then one cause of the horrible efforts of the admins fails. 1) in-Game mechanic has not been very open lately (Governing system). The INCI are making a fool out of themselves yet they are outsmarting us easily. Trolls are becoming more annoying than ever."

Playing eRepublik, for the straight shooters and clean players, is increasingly becoming a matter of threading our way through a war zone of cheaters and scammers, punks and bullies, and all this on the shaky ground of having to guess what crazy turn the game itself will take next.

I'm short.

It's all I can to, to hang in till my second anniversary, to quit playing eRepublik. I've had it, myself.
I hope, as I have done in any RL job situation, to find and train a suitable replacement for myself as Public Affairs Senior, Editor of the Army Times.
I won't rage quit. I probably won't even publish a list of the punks who have made this game no fun, but I might try to list those who have made my game time worth playing.
Certainly, the game itself... has been swirling the porcelain for a long time, and though it holds great potential to become a truly world class social networking game I'm not sure its management has it in them to do so.

Goodbye SVV.. like Jameson and a small handful of others, you were a dynamic personality and you contributed positively to our game experience.
Thanks, bud.. good luck to ya.

Custer's Mantra:

What kind of game do you play, what kind of players do you like to align yourself with?
What kind of leaders do you want, what kind of leadership do you expect of them?
What kind of country do you want to "live" in and play for?
