At around 15 minutes before day change, China launched an offensive against Serbian occupied Liaoning. The Department of Defense has ordered all American civillian volunteers to move to Beijing and take part in this important battle. If the chinese were to succeed in securing Liaoning, that would destroy the last of Phoenix's fortresses in China, and leave another Phoenix power with no high iron regions. At the time of writing, Chinese forces have forced Serbian defenders into the bunkers of the occupation force headquarters.

Readers may remember the failed assault by american forces on the Phoenix fortress region, the single largest battle in erepublik history, with 35 million damage dealt. As Gulden Draak masterfully explained in his article "Where is all the war?", the USA and her allies have been waiting for the right moment to present itself to make another attempt on fortress region. It appears that this is that time, and time will tell if the Serbian fortress of Liaoning stands to see the next day.
