Today in the eWorld - Day 847
Auswaertiges Amt
First of all, sorry that I didn't make an article yesterday. My real life was pretty crazy, I didn't have time.
-big version-
The recent battles in Austria/Slovenia are going very well for Phoenix. The Polish president recently confirmed that they want to bring Croatia into asia. However, shortly afterwards they returned Austria and Slovakia to the pre-invasion borders.
That didn't make a ton of sense to me.
Since then, Slovenia has re-taken their territory from Poland, and is now working on pushing Croatia back. Slovenia at this point has already taken enough regions to block any region-swaps into Austria.
Meanwhile, a resistnace war in Slovakia returned Moravia to Czech, yet again blocking the path Croatia needs.
In two days, Czech's alliances with Slovakia and Spain will expire, which will prevent Poland from being able to activate those alliances to get a free war with Czech. Because of Poland's high population, they can't afford to directly declare war on anyone (this is one of our best defenses).
Long story short: Poland has two days to attack Czech or they will not be able to again.
Aditionally, Hungray is now invading Austria. This invasion is friendly, since Austria needs to re-gain control of their country.
This could be done either by containing them and blocking critical borders until a ligitimate government takes over, or if Austria can't do this, Hungary could take all of their regions during a congress election, allowing anybody to gain citizenship for a month (hopefully restoring friendly control).
All this to say, I would be very impressed if Croatia can break through at this point. It looks like Eden lost their chance.
Australia made a rather bold move today by attacking Indonesia.
-big version-
The map looked rather blank so I drew faces. Indonesia is angry cuz Australia is attacking them, and Australia is worried because they just realized how screwed they are now (yes I am a bit biased with how I draw faces on maps).
Australia is in a bad spot if Indo counterattacks with help from Brazil or Argentina. By attacking a home region, Australia activated all of Indonesia's alliances, which allows those allied countries to fight for Indonesia without moving there - saving lots of money and increasing damage numbers.
This could also be the beginning of a larger attack on Indonesia - probably including Australia, USA, Philippines, and maybe Malaysia.
If this is the case, Eden will have to be able to deal with Java, one of the most populated and well defended regions in the world.

LOL
...and nice summing up 😉
qmartijn1: They claim the treaty not to be valid because it was not resigned every month. I'm not sure myself of the exact regulations here, but it probably won't hold. Regardless it's a case for the admins.
