Join the new world

First off, I would ask that you please vote this article up and shout it so that more can see it and help make a difference.

Now I will begin:

Many countries, probably all of them, have at one point or another been conquered or at least lost a few of their regions. When under occupation, or partial-occupation it becomes difficult to grow, and growing is necessary to try to free yourself and have any sort of success in this game. This countries like the eUS can testify to. And many countries are in this situation, including my country of Germany, however, I am writing to all of you not only for the sake of Germany, but for all eRepublik countries who have tried to have a Baby Boom in the midst of occupation.

The problem is that if you wish to join a country, it does not tell you that the region you may be about to join is occupied by another country. For example, when I first started playing I tried to join in my real life home state of Washington, USA. However it was under Hungarian control so I left. I actually quit the game for a few days, as many others do when they find their country is taken over (either completely or partially), if it weren't for my extreme boredom during the summer, I would not have ever logged in again, and then I moved to another country (Germany) and decided to keep playing. Anyways, enough about my own experiences, you can see that this does occur quite often, and could be stopped easily.

A simple notification, that's all, could stop all of the problems regarding this. If you are about to join a region of the country you chose (i.e. Brandenburg and Berlin in Germany) that was conquered by an enemy, you should get a pop up notice asking if you want to move there, and that it is not under the original country's control.

If you agree with this, which I think is quite a good idea that can and will effect all countries either now, or sometime in the future, then please sign the petition, here.

Finally, I would like to say I did not come up with this idea, I just thought I could help spread it and get it heard of and supported and hopefully put into the game.
