ADSP COMES OUT ON TOP
ADSP has come out with one of it's best results for quite a while this election. It has finally managed to turn members into smart votes and some of the credit must surely go to their new PP Xavier Darkmyre. This would certainly put the party back in voters minds as it has now won the last three elections (most votes in PP and CP elections and most seats in Senate elections). PaPP was a big surprise as it's relativley unexperienced candidates managed to secure many seats. This parties success would have to be due to an outstanding effort by Paul Hamon who has helped put the PaPP into the Top 5, co-ordinate votes and defelect criticism about the new parties apparent lack of new policy.

AI candidates and ANP were had very different fortunes from ADSP and PaPP. There will be half as many AI and ANP senators as last term. ANP lost many seats due to mis-management of votes with many unnecessary votes going to Barnabs Stintson (who was banned for 3 days before the elections started) that could have gone to experienced candidates like Guy Baumber, Sir Constant, Calibur and Yobbo Mcsweeny. AI also suffered with it going from the most seats to the least in one election due to the absence of a dedicated PP trying to convert voters to the idea of voting for independents. TBP made modest gains and now holds equal third for seats in Senate.

EZEKIEL THOMAS QUITS

eAustralia has lost one of it's best and most dedicated players this week with Ezekiel Thomas deciding to leave eRepublik. He was one of eAustralia's greatest assets and a prominent member of the community who helped shape Australia. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

ACP EXPERIENCES REJECTION
The Australian Communist Party has not contested the senate elections for the first time since it's creation. The party is now combining with the ADSP in senate elections so as it's candidates can run. The party will now be focusing on fighting TBP for their place in the Top 5.

International

EVERY COUNTRY PRESENT:
For the first time since the war module was introduced every country has been present on the eRepublik map. With the libertation of a North Korean region as well as an attempts to use Belgium and Thailand as homelands by various groups we have seen are rare event that may never occur again.

CANADA ON ITS WAY TO FREEDOM

Canada and it's allies, in particlular USA, have managed to regain Manitoba, Nunavut and Saskatchewan. They have also seen the return of Washington which leaves Alaska and Nunavut (In the control of the USA after they conquered it in their war with Hungary, it will be returned to Canada shortly) as so as the only two North American regions not in the hands of their original owners.

WSR RETURNED TO RUSSIA
Today one of the world's most valuable regions has been been returned to it's original owner. WSR was first conquered by Norway and then in WWII Romania took control in exchange for other regions and protection from Indonesia. When Romania lost the war Indonesia took control and has held on to it until yesterday.

Other International:
- Alliances will now cost 100G rather than 30G. This will have a significant impact on the cost of wargames.
- Flanders has been taken control of by Belgium
