AI AND ANP WINNERS IN SENATE ELECTIONS
This senate election has seen two obvious winners. AI and ANP had great results and while they may not have always managed to get the highest amounts of votes they both managed to get 27% of the senate seats. TBP and ADSP failed to achieve results yet again with ADSP failing to turn votes into senate seats and TBP failing to turn members into votes. ACP achieved a goo turnout compared to their members yet again but they are not managing to get anyone other than loyal members to pay much attention to them.
Here are some results:
Senate seats:
ACP 5
AI 11
ADSP 9
ANP 11
TBP 4

Turnout:
ACP 60
AI 128
ADSP 170
ANP 130
TBP 62

Candidate success rate:
ACP 5 out of 13
AI 11 out of 26
ADSP 9 out of 16
ANP 11 out of 19
TBP 4 out of 13

INDONESIA CAVING IN
Indonesia appears to be suffering an internal crisis. Nico Sianpar, the ex-President of Indonesia, started a Resistance War in Western Australia just a few days ago. The Indonesian government are treating it as an attempt at civil war by their ex-President and a treading with caution. There was also anger at an Australian senator who helped in the effort which has not been great for Australia Indonesia relations.

There has also been another War started in the last few hours but this does not seem to have caused as much of a stir as the previous RWs.

POPULATION BOOM CONTINUES
Australia is continuing to buck the current population trends in eRepublik. The global population appears to be remaining steady hovering around 225,000 but Australia's population has experienced an increase of almost 10% in this period. This will help boost our economy as well as strengthening our military if the government can manage to keep these players in the game.

ANGER AT POSSIBLE RAISES
The public have been angered by possible plans to increase income tax by 5% from 10% to 15%, these taxes will be used to help get the budget out of deficit after it was heavily hit during the treasury scandal earlier this year. TheBlackAdder has cautioned the government on raising the taxes saying that it would have bad effects on the Australian economy. He has also condemned any government money spent on hospitals, weapons, and iron and also the issuing of loans so as Australian companies can export overseas. He believes that while the economy is in the current state the government should consider scrapping them.

ELECTIONS ALL MESSED UP

If it looks as bad as it was then the eRepublik programmers may have been working very long hours the last few days. This is mainly due to a bug of some sort that turned the congress elections into chaos yet again. While the standard of elections in previous months has not been astonishingly high (servers have often been down for hours on the 26th of the month often and even occasionally on the 25th, plus occasions where senators got two medals and therefore 10G) this months elections were a new low. USA was one of the worst with 162 people elected to the American congress rather than the usual 51 (one for each state). There was also the case of North Korea which ended up with 22 congressmen rather than the usual 10.

International:
NORTH KOREA PUSHES FOR NEW RECOR😨
North Korea may well have secured a place in the eGuiness Book of Records. Earlier this week they staged a successful Resistance War in Pyongyang and within the next day or so the North Koreans had already put a Q4 hospital in place but their dream of a freed homeland lasted a very short time. Within 5 days the Russians had retaken their country and North Korea had put itself in contention for shortest period of independence for a country.

USA going where Canada can't:

The USA has been highly successful in it's efforts to push PEACE out of their country with all of their regions except Alaska and Washington now under their control but their Canadian allies to the north have not been nearly as successful. Half of Canada is still occupied by Hungary and it does not look like they will be getting it all back too soon.
Other International News:
-The United Kingdom and Russia have retaliated after Norway, Sweden and Finland tried to attack Russia. Russia has already secured two Norwegian regions while the UK looks certain to take control of some Swedish regions.
-The Czech Republik has attacked Slovakia in what appears to be a failed attempt by the Czechs at expansion.
-There was an attempt by the Theocrats to get Thailand into their control but the RW failed.
-South Korea has joined the Sol wargames.
