Hello Australians,
I would like to announce that I am starting a new weekly news article for all Australian citizens.
Three Minute News will be a quick read about the economy, local and international events and anything else that matters.
So here goes the first article:
Local News:
-An impeachment proposed by Preditorian fails to gain any support.
-The government has decided that they will stop even attempting to fund The Redbacks after their heroic efforts in the Queensland resistance war. Bye
-Treasury announces a 1000AUD and 16G surplus.
-Q1 food shortages reach crisis levels.
Interntional:
Romania- have announced they will not encourage their troops to fight PEACE armies even when their original regions are threatened. This is because they believe PEACE has used cheats to win battles.
Serbia- Cheats printed fake money and many innocent citizens were baned just for having offers in Serbian Monetary Markets.
Sweden- One of Atlantis's founding members has attacked Germany because it does not believe that it is a good member of ATLANTIS.
Turkey- Greeks and their allies have failed to free three regions using Resistance Wars. Of the four RWs still being fought three look like a win for Greece.

Economy:
-Import taxes for weapons are likley to be reduced so as more citizens can afford weapons for wargames. The same is likely to happen with iron import taxes.
-The Australian government issued 30000AUD for 150G.
Exchange rates:
1 GOLD = 47.2 AUD
1 AUD = 0.023 GOLD
1 GOLD = 55 RON
1 GOLD = 28.4 IDR
1 GOLD = 52 USD
1 GOLD = 45.5 HUF

Import taxes section under Economy is incorrect
Currently weapons is set at 10% and iron at 45%, the weapons tax is a bugger up due to the Executive Order for the alleged "war mode" the government went into for 24 hours.
I have put through a law in parliment to correct the weapons import tax to 45% which the senate had previously passed.
Legislation states that at the end of the war games period (which is looking to be another month at least) the weapons and iron tariffs will revert back to their pre-war games amounts which was 99%.
I am trying to have that stopped so that iron can remain at 45% to ease the load on the wage/labour crisis
Noticed a little error:

45.5 what? 😉
Also Sweden are just being babies about germany defeating them in a few RW's
they dont give a cr*p about ATLANTIS only their own skins. Its one of the reasons ATLANTIS is failing as an alliance... the members are failing to work as a team and continue private battles despite more important matters

Tim Holtz: I say that because that is the defence that the swedish are giving. I am trying to keep the paper neutral like this country. I don't want to take sides in ATLANTIS vs PEACE.
