Yes there were discussions about the Egyptian proposal... Maybe your party members who actually take part in the congress thread can update you, since you choose to be absent from them. Or you could PM someone directly to ask any questions

I wrote about it in the thread yesterday after I reached out to Egypt. The matter was sorted out and I plan on talking about it in the CP update this weekend.

There is no threat to Australia, hence why I didnt write anything in the forum (which is also an outside game mechanic), my primary means of communication is the one provided by eRep... that is the game PM or shout box.

Yes if you were so concerned, you could of PMed any one of your party members or myself (or take part in the in-game mechanics of communication), it would of been quicker then writing a whole article wouldnt it? and also you would be able to get a more detailed response 😉 which is more logical then opening another browser window, logging into an outside game forum and then scrolling to the appropriate forum section and looking in there. Or if you wanted to use the forum, you could of asked the question inside the forum?

All in all, for the 'flash in the pan' that it was/should be, it was dealt with quickly and congress was informed via the primary means.

I certainly could have opened another browser and spent valuable time there in asking the question. We would of though been back to square one that I and the people who use the forums would of known, again this leaves out the balance of the community.

I chose the article as it is an in-game feature that Plato gives me and others, much like the forums the in-game pm is not a criteria that you can have a congress seat as it is NOT the key form of communication (only for the person wanting to control it).

Again, thanks for your effort to keep the whole community at large updated on the movements of your in-depth discussions.

If you can also point out when the internal rulings of "what happens in congress threads, stays in congress threads" became a rule that is no longer required to be followed since you state openly we can now PM anyone for the information.

Guag, yes you can use the article as an in game feature, which you do a lot.

But I am unsure about this thing of control you talk about in regards to an in game PM, no one is in control on what you type, but yourself. Just like articles and any other form of correspondence you choose to partake in. It is up to you to type what you feel you want to type.

As stated above I plan on doing a CP update this weekend. Considering that this proposal is just a proposal and have communicated with the Egyptian government after it was proposed, also again today after J Seemore released his article. The result of my conversation was brought to congress to put any fears to rest.

Yes you can ask questions, after all you are a congress member so I do not think it would be a breech of 'rules' (even though you have not followed rules in the past). Or even that congress or who ever you PMed could of easily replied 'there is nothing to worry about, it has been sorted. As communication was opened and we know it is not a threat.' I really doubt that could be considered a breech of security for congress to tell a congress member.

I am unsure what rules I have broken in the past Rusty, I know that I had people trying to pin me for letting in an ex-Aussie. One who has been active in the past, done things for a better eAus (not troll proposals like NE another country from another person who was let in without discussions)
The rule of returning Aussies have been in effect for many years now and as far as I am aware was never retracted by any government. (note I have spoken to the person I let in so no need to reply the account may of been sold, thanks anyway)

Nice to know that you knew exactly in your own mind that an update was coming this weekend, I unlike most of the community am not a mind reader.

Lastly as I will not bother replying to your self assurance that you are always right, by having this as an article and not a single pm I have asked what others are possibly thinking and have given the community an early notice of what is going on. This is a better option than many many different people sending pm's to lots of other people who may or may not know what the hell is going on.

As CP, I *suggest* an article at least every 2 days with discussion or update. This is irrespective of what the other portfolios are doing. There is NEVER enough need for information, discussion or I suppose cat pictures if needed.

And it looks like there is plenty to write about. Even if you have to can't say much about a particular topic mate.

It's a pain to do, I know. But it can be done, has been done (look back at my articles in 2012) and it really really helps make the community more active.

Ranger, I agree with that and as you would of seen from each of my terms, I have tried to do article quite frequently (prob the more then most CPs), however I have currently been travelling, hence the lack of an update (which was planned for this weekend) and I have been doing a lot of the duties via my phone.

Congress has been informed of everything that is going on, and IMO congress can easily pass information onto those who are wondering/asking questions.

Mate it's not about congress information. Don't disagree they can do their own updates and thing. It's about being visible as leader and inspiring people to want to play. This is something you can do, have done and should do as leader of the nation. It denotes activity, and gets people talking and active. It's not like congress cannot - but passing on information to an apathetic eSociety through messaging is not the way to go about addressing the lack of growth, or community participation.

Please believe me on this. You need to either write more, or, get an active information person to do so. And encourage discussion. If congress aren't active, and it's not secret squirrel, post articles on here calling for feedback and open chat. Get people involved. You can do it.

So Gudz, I am assuming when you have been replying an commenting in congress, that my message to the person who showed that screenshot, that it was only a part of the conversation.

And enlighten the eAustralian senate?? you have seen other screenshots yourself, you have even replied to comments about things that have been discussed.

However I understand that you only want to produce half truths as that suits you and your friends agenda's. But with the 30 odd people in congress, I am sure they all know how to read and see what has been said and what you are trying to con the public with.

Very well then, please enlighten the eAustralian people about the further discussions with the "leader" of eEgypt and correct the record.

All of the above is the very reason I am leaving eAustralia. No one is forcing me to go, I am going of my own volition. Nothing changes here from day to day, week to week, year to year. Back bite, ridicule others opinions and/or progress, have arrogant haughty attitudes toward others who don't agree with you. I've never been any place else in this eWorld so I might find out it's the same any place I go but I know I can't stand it here any longer.
