This Week in the Economy

Day 486, 15:55 Published in Germany United Kingdom by Elisa Vorimberg

Dear citizens of Germany-Austria,

After my previous economy-related article I received a lot of positive messages urging me to keep an eye on things.

And so took samplings of the market prices for manufactured goods (and the price of 1 gold) over the past week and graphed them. I hope this will increase awareness about the state of the economy.

Here are the results:

What this means:
-The price for 1 gold has dropped by about 1 DEM.
-The price of food appears to be very chaotic, it's difficult to say what is going on there.
-Gifts appear to be getting a little cheaper.
-Weapons are also all over the place, difficult to say.
-Moving Tickets, this category is interesting because there are tons of companies and every single one is selling 1q, it looks to me like the prices are raising but they may have lost that raise today.
-Housing, there are barely any data-points for this. I'd say that houses are holding at significantly above what they are worth.

Overall:
There is no overall rise or fall of market values, the DEM appears to be deflating so the prices are rising in many areas but are also falling or unpredictable in others.
I'd say that the economy is a little unstable but not at all likely to crash at this time.

P.S. For a future improvement of these weekly reports, I plan on doing it by time rather than by day, that way it will be more accurate and allow me to make more data-points. That would also allow me to include the time on the bottom of the graphs which really isn't clear right now.
