I know that some people have been asking questions about me lately and why I haven’t been around much. I also know there have been some rumours.

There are two reasons why I haven’t been around much lately. The first is that University has started back up for me. This reduces the amount of time I can spend on erep, however not to the extent that I would be unable to do my duties, and do them well at that. The second and bigger problem is motivation and that is what I’m about to go into in more detail. I apologise if this is long winded, but it is something I need to say, and it is something I need to say in detail. I have put crucial bits in bold so you can skim through to get the jist of it.




I don’t believe that is any great secret that Japan is in a pretty poor state financially. I was MoFA of Japan last month under Nowe and retained the position this month. As I was looking to sign MPPs for Japan I took a particular interest in Japan’s finances or lack of finances rather and decided to do something about it myself. By using my own finances I bought and sold goods on the markets making use of the international markets with all of the profits to go towards helping Japan.

This worked fine, however I decided that I could probably make far more money by using the monetary market. For this reason I requested of the president (Nowe at the time) that he gives me access to an org I could use for this purpose.


When Hizaya got elected president I informed him early on about this:

Here you can see him clearly deny that he has access to the org that I was using with my own money for the good of Japan. You can also notice that he claims the mysterious money he has found and is using has come from another org he has found.

Moving on....

Here you notice that my money hasn’t actually been touched until coincidentally I have pointed out to Hizaya that the money is still there.

When I chase Hizaya the next day about my org this is the explanation he gives:

[0😇3] Ok.. so believe it or not.. the ticket i made requesting the current e-mail and password was deleted.. It was there when i checked earlier today but now it's gone.. but anyways now I've put up yet another ticket.. this one requesting an e-mail change to yours, hopefully they won't delete this one..

Here he changes his story about where the money he’s been spending has come from. First it was orgs, now he claims it was his own.

I had asked Hizaya to send a ticket explaining the supposed ‘hack’ of the org so that the admins could if that was indeed the case return my money. However as you see here he claims to have ‘forgotten’ to do so.


I think this all looks very suspicious. I mean the org I was using was lost. The money wasn’t taken until I pointed out to Hizaya it was still untouched. Hizaya completely denied to me that he had in anyway touched the org I was using.

The final piece of proof I have i received are logs received from Squibeel of a conversation he had with Hizaya:

Here Hizaya admitts that he was the one who took control of the org that I was using with my own money to try and help Japan. The org from which 100k cc of my own money was removed.


Summary

A few things spring to mind for me now. Firstly I think of the expression ‘Don’t bite the hand that feeds you’. I am the MoFA for Japan. I was risking up to 200k cc, my entire savings from 2 and a half years of playing erepublik in order to try and help Japan out. On top of this I was an active minister for Japan, and one of its top soldiers. I fight for the national military of Japan and haven’t once claimed supply.

The second thing I think is that really it shouldn’t surprise me. Just because you try and do something to help someone doesn’t mean that they won’t try and screw you over. In a sense it was my fault for trusting someone. The truth is the large part of this game is dictated by racists, idiots and trolls (I speak from experience at alliance level).


As a result of all this I would first of all like to congratulate Hizaya.



It is because of people like you that we cannot have nice things.

I have lost the motivation to continue playing an active role in this game. I will now go into two click mode and try and save up my money again. Perhaps I will decide to continue playing this game actively again, or perhaps this is just a sign that it is time for me at long last to quit this game.
