When I asked, how do I play this game? I was told that it’s just the same as other web browser games. But there lies the problem; I never played this type of game before, so that didn't help. Thankfully, some players that came before me have done a great job putting great tutorials together, and upon joining my military unit and political party, I was bombarded with links to sites and videos that showed me how everything works. It took me a while to find time to review all the information, but now as I approach two weeks in Erepublik, I can finally say that I’m stable. By that I mean that all I have to do is follow the daily routine of training, working and fighting to be able to advance in the game. It seems that the majority of the time I spend in this game is on writing articles so I can gain popularity and have a chance at wining elections ten years from now. Everything else just seems like a lot of clicking.
But if it’s all just clicks on a page, why are so many people still playing this game? My guess is that just like other multiplayer online games, social interaction plays a huge part in player retention. Once you join a group and get to know the other players, you build friendships and a sense of camaraderie with your team mates. Once you have that, you will keep on coming back because you don't want to let your team down. After realizing that, I do not want to make articles on how to play because I think that it would ruin the social aspect of the game. Asking questions was the ice breaker that got me to meet a few people and got me into the groups I’m in. At least that's what I'm getting from my experience so far. Maybe I just got lucky and joined the right groups? Only time will tell, but for now, I will continue doing my daily clicks on this web browser-based game we play as I do not want to let my team mates down.
If you have questions, please ask your military unit or political party. If you don’t get the answer you need from them, then maybe you need to find a group that will help you and gives you the answers you are looking for.

WE THE PEOPLE and the CIA are simply the most outstanding additions to ANYONE's game. You do a good service to your nation just by mentioning them.
Wrong party...almost any other party would have been better than the WTP - or their buddies the BSP- who just had one of their members get permabanned for multi-account cheating. So if they ask you to create another account I wouldn't...
As I stated in the article, time will tell. I'm new so I can't yet give advice on what is good or bad, only give my perspective based on my experience so far. Good advice on the multiple account creation, though. I just noticed someone being banned for it, I think that's something that should be mentioned more often. Especially for players coming from mobile MMORTS, where that is actually encouraged and not penalized by the developers. I haven't been asked to do anything like that by anyone yet, and if I ever do I would reconsider my friendship with someone that wants me to take a risk at being banned. I have seen nothing but positive from both the party and MU since I joined. I'm sure you have experienced the same with your groups so I cannot say anything negative about it. As I see it we are both fighting for the same side.
There are a lot of accusations about multis within WTP...in Dominar's case it was clearly true. I can assure you no one...and I mean no one...encourages people to create multis at WTP. As wacky as our party can be (which makes it fun) I have seen CG and Snow Sunday openly discourage it and warn against it multiple times. Dislike us all you want but you should no there is no promotion of cheating in our party.
...and yet the top representative of your party, your parties choice to run for President was a multi-account cheater.
I'm not saying it doesn't happen. It might be happening. I am just debunking the theory that it is openly encouraged. It is not. It is openly discouraged. I'm sure every nation and party alike has had it's share of multis.

That is true, U.S. Army was my first choice of military unit. While the CIA, is a much smaller group, I switched when WE THE PEOPLE and CIA announced that they will be working together. Nothing against the U.S. Army, I just wanted to to be in a military unit that aligned with the same goals as my current political party. I'm not sure if it will even matter, it just seemed to make sense at the time.
You absolutely do not need to wait on life why wait on this game? No need for 10 years to go by before you start applying for Congress. Just make sure you take this entire month to read up on the constitution and rules of decorum. Since the next election is in 18 hours you have 1 month before the next one. Normally you have to sign up for Congress in your party forum AND under the Community/Party page/Congress. but if you wait 10 years to even read the constitution/and understand decorum then you might as well never apply because people usually violate the rules and get kicked out for it and end up butthurt to never return. even bad publicity helps... meaning if you continue to sign up even if you lose people get comfortable with your name being up there and eventually your Coach (PP) will put you in.
