@Collins: Perhaps its not Igor's fault that some of our government members don't want the big bad military powers to get a bad taste in their mouth concerning eIreland.

Err, I've been telling him for over a month now to just send soldiers to get experience, no matter who was in the battle. I've even offered myself to a position in the IDF twice.

If he wants to continue waiting to fight in non-existent "peacekeeping" operations, fine. But it would save a lot of time if the IDF was just disbanded instead.

Dont wait around for Igor to sort something out, grab a ticket and take yourself into the action, it can be good fun!

Ireland will never declare war on its boarders, unless magically we gain a few more boardering nations, so really the only way we will see war on Irish soil is if we piss someone off big time!

Yes remaining neutral is madness; going to war with one of our neighbours (Canada, United Kingdom, United States) is clearly the rational option...

Lawyers are not neutral (which I wish they were) they are devoted to either prosecuting or defending the accused regardless of the truth.

This is not a valid article at all really. I don't think we should remain neutral but you have argued the point in such an idiotic manner it hurts my eyes.

Listen it isn't going to happen. You can whine and moan all you want, but we're not going to war with anyone in the foreseeable future. If any of you want a continued war, you're going to have to leave Ireland. It will be better for all involved.

Perhaps because they are the ones who don't really have any attachment to eIreland as a nation and see this as "just a game"
Tell me when the definition of "game" came to become "WAR KILLING INVASION" can these people not figure out that eRepublik is not that kind of game. It's about role-playing a real nation as a group and a world community also.
If this is not what you consider "fun" then I suggest you pick up a copy of empire total war or civilisation.

Well i actually meant that they take it too casually, of course its just a game, but its a game that requires a lot of input and effort from the players. The people that are in government don't want to start waging war randomly because they are the ones who have put the most effort and time into eIreland. These newbies however just want to see as much action as possible when they dont realise the time and work the people who want a neutral ireland have put into the development of our nation.

Being an eIreland newbie I must say staying neutral and building our eNation is fun for me...it suits me fine...tired of the emo "please let me go kill everyone playing this game" attitude. Like it was said before..if you dont like the weather MOVE

an mutual protection pact with a country that is going to be attacked is a good idea, such as serbia, iran, pakistan etc. We could fight from home

This is eRepublik not the real world. There are no nationalities here. You shouldn't feel bound by your real life nationality. Choose a country that is more in line with your political outlook and wage war to your hearts content.

Can you attack a non adjacent region?

I new to this game so its probably not as easy as it seems to me but seems to me that there are a fair few people that want to go to war so the most logical thing to me is that they all band together, get organised and start a party. If they end up with a controlling share then nobody can complain about them if they go to war. Not saying that I'm pro or anti war. Dont know enough about the game yet
