You've got a lot of articles explaining what does this new economy module do and how does it work, I will here just focus on the CONSEQUENCE from the changes.
WE ARE ALL POORER NOW! If you thought that you could build about 50 companies and have enough profit for boosters and everything else, now you CANNOT! Now nobody is going to buy currency FOR gold, because you can get about 1200+ currency for 1 gold (1gold=1300mkd), and nobody is going to bother buying currency for a gold and get 1000 currency, when they can get 1200 at least by selling the gold (and it will sell a lot FASTER, because now the monetary market has a "universal" currency)
Now you earn a lot less. If you once needed to earn 1000 currency to buy 1 gold, at the moment you need 1390 which is 39% more. So now you need 39% MORE COMPANIES TO EARN THE SAME GOLD. YOU NEED 39% MORE INVESTMENT IN COMPANIES TO HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO BUY THE SAME BOOSTERS.

We've had 1 gold = 1700 currency whilst 1000 currency = 1 gold in the UK for a while now, people still buy on both sides, you just have to wait a while.

I removed the picture, because everybody thought that is the point of the article. You'll need to wait the bot to buy your currency, and I'm sure the bot will take a lot more time to get to you, since every player in erepublik is selling currency.
@Iain Maybe it won't. It all depends on the way the admins set the bot.
Не си пресметал брат, полека златото ќе поефтинува. Ако порано ти требаа 45 дена за СС сега ќе ти требаат 20-22 дена. За исти период ќе добиваш 10 злато наместо 5 само од овој медал. Ама за тоа треба да помине малку време. (2-3 месеци)
no, the exact same thing that was pointed out as "the worst consequence from the changes", it exists for over 2 years, as log as i recall...

Akasuna, now there is almost no way to earn gold instead from medals and if you are very lucky - the bot. Since we have a universal currency which made the gold a lot more expensive than it was in most places, that means that you are poorer, poorer by the current diffirence between the gold value - (minus) 1000, or 39 in percents.

Tatko_ti mozebi ti treniras so site busteri i dobivas tolku brzo SS, ali jas uste ne sum ja unapredil vtorata trening zgrada (za 0.19) i koga ke ja unapredam ke dobivam po 15 str na den + od dnevnata misija ke dobivam na sekoi 14 ili 15 dena (zatoa sto ne koristam drugi busteri)
Not true in all the cases. 1 gold =1800 INR. Not its just 1400 so less investment. This is the case for small economies. only the superpowers suffer

brate, da su promene lose, jesu, zasto, napisao sam u clanku eno vidi. a ovo sto si ti naveo nije jedan od problema, vec nesto sto je tako odavno.
i ne znam zasto si upisao (astral) na kraju clanka, ispada da si ti najgora strana promena : P

DrShYaM Yes, you are right, maybe smaller countries have benefits from this change, but we'll see for how long. Maybe the gold will go up to 2000+ a piece, the admins and bots dictate everything.
But until yesterday, a country which had 9/10 or 10/10 could have had a more stable economy with a gold price lets say 1gold=700currency which means you could sell your currency even at 0.002 gold per piece, NOW EVERYBODY IS DOOMED FOREVER.

Economic modules would be more fun,but only fun for admin side (it is and always),but for mostly players are totally not. Current updates kinda enforced monex's monopoly by admin o.0
