Take a look at the amount of friends you have.

It's probably fairly average, unless your ligtreb, but he's a beast, so doesn't count.
Everyone loves to have more friends. By a simple friend request, you can have someone think completely differently about you and the nation you represent. And all it takes is the click of a button. My suggestion to America is to go out, pick a nation that we're allied with, and add a few members of their congress, and the president as well. Hell, even go ahead and send them a message thanking them for having our back, and assuring them we have theirs. This will take only a few minutes of your time, yet it will make such an impact on all our foreign relations. For all you know, that Congressman you just added who only just scraped in, he could be the President someday, and might just be reminded of the friendly message he recieved a while back, and look favourably upon the US and it's people.

So go check the Rankings page of the Community tab, and select a country. Any country that you're a fan of. Click their politics tab, and then go to the latest election results. And you go ahead and add a few. Add a bunch. Add them all. I just sent requests to all of Portugal and Italy's congress. All of them, and it took me around 5 minutes.
