Spain Leaves Eden

The Spanish Government yesterday announced their leaving of the Eden alliance. It was passed with a clear majority, in which there were 24 affirmative votes, 3 negative votes and 3 abstentions. This move was expected as it was becoming clearer that Spain was heading towards the “New World Order” following its MPP with Hungary, rejection of Romania and their war with Brazil. There have also been rumours that certain Eden nations were not willing to sign an MPP with Spain. It’s likely Spain will soon sign an MPP with Serbia to solidify their new found friends and follow Poland’s example. If the MPP does go ahead, it will need to be tactically done in order to wipe Brazil’s Serbian MPP.

Brazil continued their offence on Spain, attacking the Portuguese region of Alentejo. This followed success in both the Canary Islands and in the Azores. At the time of publishing, Brazil had a 5-2 lead in the battle however the Spanish had just waken up and are likely to take the next few mini battles especially considering their two biggest allies in the form of Hungary and Poland are awake as well. There was also a resistance war started in the Brazilian controlled region Canary Islands as well as in the former Peruvian region of Southern Low Amazon however the Brazilians have been able to take the first few mini-battles with much ease. Spain have also had a Resistance war to deal with as their Venezuelan region of Guyana came under siege.

Turkey fights to be put back on the map

Following Greece’s wiping of Turkey, the Turkish have been vehemently fighting to regain a region and put them back on the map. The latest failed attempt was in the battle for the Mediterranean Coast of Turkey, which at the time of publishing was almost secured by Greece, needing one more region. The new Resistance wars have been a huge problem for the Turks as they cannot open up multiple Resistance wars in the hope to win one. The last time Greece wiped Turkey, it was a matter of days before the regained all their regions, it’s clear that will not be the case this time. The Turkish people can be seen all over the eWorld asking for help from their allies during a time in which many of their allies seem to be focused on other things. The response to their call will define which alliance the Turkish will join once they are back on the map.

Italy under attack from all sides

It seems that the Italians have bitten off more than they can chew when they attacked Germany. Neither side has been able to gain the upper hand the war with both sides securing their own regions. The Italians have now attack Graubunden however we cannot expect it to be any different to the past few battles. The Italians however have been attacked on two more fronts with their conflict with Slovenia reigniting and the French joining in. The Slovenians attacked Veneto and have been able to take the first 7 mini-battles and are on the verge of winning the 8th. The French were able to conquer Tuscany as the Italians could do little due to the three pronged attack. The French have now attacked Sardinia and have take the first mini battle. They are favoured to win the battle although the Italians may decide to focus on it.

Indonesia proposes the United States as their natural enemy

Yesterday an Indonesia Congressman proposed the United States as its natural enemy. The moved shocked many, including some Indonesian congressmen showing that it was not a preplanned move. The Indonesia president did not order congress to vote yes or no, allowing them the choice. At the moment it is likely to be failed however this does show that more than 50% of the Indonesian congress is willing to go to war with the United States. It has made the current situation with the new alliances even more interesting with Indonesia’s close ties on both sides. Only time will tell.

The world heads to the polls

Today is one of the most important days in the erepublik calendar as we head to the polls to vote for our favourite candidate. Today we will get to choose which direction our country heads. I’d like to wish all candidates the best of luck in the election and I wish all nations under a PTO threat, the best of luck.
