The Unexpected Consequences of the True Patriot Medal

I haven't written an article in a while and I thought it would be nice to complain a little about new features.

I'm sure everyone has noticed the new True Patriot achievement. The idea behind this achievement is fairly simple: you must fight for your country and inflict as much damage as you can. That doesn't sound too bad at the beginning but when you start to think about it, this is going to have a huge impact on the game in the months to come.

The first thing we'll see is the rapid increase in the amount of active wars. Every country needs to have a war to give its citizens possibility to achieve the new medal. When the new achievement and easy gold it's providing is combined with the ongoing training grounds upgrade discount and ridiculously high gold price, a recipe for disaster was create😛 new congressmen and women are scrambling to start a war before the special offer expires.

In the past we had a natural enemy bonus for training that "forced" countries to have a natural enemy at all times. This wasn't such a big problem: you could just keep a training war going while fighting for your friends across the globe.

A lot of useless battles were fought but this didn't cause such a big problems as the True Patriot medal will. The True Patriot forces citizens to actually fight in those useless battles. People is going to hit in battles that already have a clear winner. Millions of points of damage will be dealt for nothing.

The military cooperation between countries will also decrease significantly. No one wants to fight for another country when they get rewarded for hitting for their country. This is going to be a big problem for every alliance. How do they get the general population to fight in a battle that's not fought in their soil?

While it may seem the True Patriot brings a lot of fun to the game, it's actually going to make the game even more boring. The effects of this new achievement are unpredictable but one thing can be said for sure: this is not going to make the game any more interesting than it already is.

Well, you don't always get what you want. We'll just have to deal with it.

Tl;dr: True Patriot achievement sucks.
