Today was held the very first of the Trade Union Leader Elections. Although the competition was not very tight (there's wasn't a single competitor to any of the union leaderships, so all leaders won be default), each union leader has shown him or herself to be fully capable of this job, and have already created goals, manifestos and challenges set to make the trade unions stronger.

The following is the list of trade union leaders for the respective industry:

Food - Sean Phillips
Gifts - Bob Boblo
Moving - N/A
Weapons - Nick Appleton
Housing - Keitarour
Hospitals - N/A

Unfortunately, there were not only no applicants for moving or hospitals, but there are no union members either! I sincerely hope that workers from those industries will stand up and be counted amongst those who work for fairer wages and equal worker rights.

So, the leaders have been elected! Firstly, the question is, what does a trade union leader do? A trade union leader is the spokesperson for that trade union. The leader is the person who negotiates with the GMs, as well as talking to the workers. They hold the power to call a strike when they deem necessary (subject to the conditions put into the Trade Unions act). They will organise the trade union as they see fit, maintaining it as an organistion as well as nurturing it as a growing entity.

This will be an exciting first month for the trade unions and their leaders, and I myself wish them all the best. Any trade union member should definitely contact their trade union leader, because that is the person who has stood up to fight for your rights. Good luck TU leaders! Let's make a fairer E-uk, together.
