Wherever you are in the eWorld I would like to wish you all of the above in whichever manner is readable and hopefully understandable. Often the New Year is brought in with fireworks and joyous noise. It makes me think of the US national anthem. When it talks about the rocket's red glare there really was such a thing as the words were being written. However, Bernard Cornwell's series on a fictitious British soldier suggests that they were neither particularly lethal nor accurate. They were more used for the effect than actual killing power. The rocket was described as flashy, noisy, and unpredictable.
