The Promised Norsefire Reforms, Stage One

When we lost the party leadership race on August 10 our dreams of a new Norsefire did not die with our political hopes. Our new leader Tantis has been very open and responsive to our fears, complaints, and demands for reform. He has recently approved a series of internal party reforms to make Norsefire the only popularly responsive party in Canada. You have made us the force driving Canadian politics, and we are now offering you the chance to become the force behind Norsefire. Tantis is currently finalizing a solution to Canada's economic woes, which he will present shortly, so he has placed me in charge of reforming Norsefire internally. We have all made a lot of promises over the past week, and some have criticized those promises as empty propaganda. Today we will begin to show just how wrong our critics are. While others wallow in the past, unable to make progress towards a greater future, we have begun down the long road to the promised land. We will leave those who contribute nothing but empty criticisms to their own devices. We have a future. You are our future! We will build The Great Society together!
The following positions will be immediately created within the party and open to all applicants. Please PM me with your qualifications and why you should be chosen for the job. I will announce the selections on Friday.
Deputy For Domestic Policy- A party member to coordinate and propose additions to our social and economic platform as well as create a system to provide jobs for Norsefire members. Will be responsive to the demands of all party members.
Deputy For Foreign Policy- Same as above, except they create proposals for Norsefire's foreign policy platform.
4 Regional Party Representatives (1.BC and Praries, 2.Ontario, 3.Quebec and Maritimes, 4.Territories)- Must be an active member, inactive reps will be replaced. Their job will be to message Norsefire members on election day in order to remind them to vote and tell them how, as well as other GOTV activities. They will also to act as an intermediary between regional members and the party leadership. They will provided a faster and more detailed response to regional party members complaints, concerns, and questions then could be provided by the leader alone.

I think these positions are a great idea, and I applaud the efforts that the new government is taking so soon, and with such great coopoeration! These ideas seem like they will help out our country in its organisation, information flow, economy, and more!

Umm, and creating a few internal position proves what exactly?
Steal our ideas much?
As we all know, Tantis was a CSD member, and I envisioned the idea of a Shadow Cabinet... internal positions within our party that handled each respective facet of the country - Finance, Health, Defence, etc. However we decided it\'s better to work together, that more ideas going to each facet is better than 1 person being in charge in each.
Funny though, CSD created senior member positions & an even-more-private section on the forums only for Party Presidents, members of Congress & the senior members.
Of course, that means new CSD members can know who can be learned from simply by looking at their forum group. And there\'s now an emphasis on new CSD members to impress, and upon being selected for Senior status, will undergo a mentoring program which will groom them for congress, the cabinet, even the Presidency.
Interesting that you emulate our idea (sort of) just 24 hours later.
I do like the Regional Representatives idea. As they say, emulation is the highest form of flattery.
Actually Cottus these weren\'t Tantis\'s ideas, these were the plans from my campaign that we have established when I entered the race last week. So really, if you introduced your 24 hours ago that means it was about 72 hours after we came up with it, so in fact you are emulating us. But of course I didn\'t know about your plans 72 hours ago and you didn\'t know about mine (either did Tantis) so really I don\'t think anyone is emulating anyone. But thanks for getting your info out there, perhaps next time you should make a public announcement so all your members know? I can officially post it in my newspaper if you would like, you seem very eager to get it in here anyways...

Agreed Cottus. It would be pointless to do this in the CSD\'s case. But luckily Norsefire is not the CSD, because Norsefire is Canada, and party announcements are national news.
I\'d like to remind everyone that CSD and Paradox are both Canada as well. With CSD soon to hit 100 members, and Paradox over 60, we do take up a large portion of the [active] voting population. So...just thought I\'d say that....go canada.
