Indonesia is no longer empowered to oppress South Africa. With the victory in the Northern Cape we have taken another step towards freedom.

A theme of my presidency has been "pride". In almost every article I have called on our nation to be proud. Today we can truly look to the world and say we are proud. We are proud of all that we have achieved, of all the friends we have made and of our ability to take control of our destiny in a way that can only bring success.

We now need to take this pride and use it to continue what we have started. We need to not sit and argue but unite as a people.

We did it, we have used our might and out wits to take one step closer to being a whole country. I am proud of that and that's why I take joy in being your president.

South Africa, you are a shining star and your light won't go dim.
