The People's Commune
Listhp Tomptos
I would like to put out an invitation to anyone living in Australia to join TPC's new diamond mine in NT. TPC is a communist organisation run and funded mainly by members and ex-members of The People's Communist Party in the UK.
We started it to provide another way to work in eRepublik and also to prove that communism can work. TPC has grown a lot since two small Q1 grain and food companies and now the whole operation is worth a minimum of 150G. We recently decided that an expansion to Australia would be good because it would allow more people to get involved in TPC and provide an even better setup for TPC. When the diamond mine is up and running we will be fully self-sufficient and not have to buy any products to feed our members.
If you join TPC then you will be paid 1AUD a day plus Q2-3 food. All employees are paid the same no matter what skill, age or position so it is good for lower skill workers to be involved in. We hope to see you working there soon.
🙂

Hmm, interesting payment method. Remember to stick to it.
We stick by it. How could you not stick by it when it is oart of the game mechanics. We would actually prefer to have to pay no wage at all and just issue food and and a few gifts. No workers have ever written to me complaining about it.
Does this come to eAustralia's shores with the blessing of the eAustralian Communist Party ?
Or is it merely a capitalist grab at the wealth of eAustralia's diamond industry - hiding under communist ideals ?
when will you commies learn, your ideology cannot work in rl nor in the republik. And not for a lack of beauty in the ideal, rather because of peoples inherant greed. As well as a desire for some people to do more than the next and to be rightfully rewarded for it.
This is an interesting experiment,. I will be curious to see the long term results. The People's Cause has a different strategy, in that we pay our workers at an above average rate with the ultimate goal a net zero profit at the end of the day.
Im not very supportive of this Idea. We have enough problems with our own companies, and now we have more foreign run groups pressing into eAus.
I'm trying to wrap my head around the tax implications of this system. Not passing any judgement, just trying to figure out if the country ultimately benefits or is degraded because of this.
Nearest I can figure if the food and gifts are from an Australian source, it should be a push since theoretically a similar amount of money would be used and taxed, and the money to purchase these items would be taxed at the normal rate once it is collected from the company.
Of course if the food and gifts are from foreign sources then it is another country getting the funds as the added income tax that ten employees only earning 1AUD is quite paltry, and the money never really needs to be pulled out of the company coffers.
So this can really go either way, though it does remain to be seen if they'll be able to attract the full ten employees under this quite radically different scheme.
Able: If you look at my previous article then you'll find that I am actually a communist (not before One Minute News).
Lews: Well it has been working for almost two-months now and if it weren't for people going to Philipenes to help the UKs communists there or to fiht in the Rom-Ind war because there haven't been proper wars in the UK for 4 months then we would have around 60 people trying to fit in and I wouldn't even be offering jobs.
TPCause: Where do you get money to grow. All TPC's profits go into new companies and upgrades.
Preditorian: In my time at the company we have had many players come in at 0-2 skill and are now working for us with 4-5 skill. TPC is good at recruiting players that might otherwise become inactive. If you look at the job offers you will find over half are for very low skill workers. We are not stealing your current workforce. Instead we are creating a new one.
new TPC comment: well it has worked every other time. I am confident we will get at least 8 employees.
"TPCause: Where do you get money to grow. All TPC's profits go into new companies and upgrades."
And that is good. The People's Food has recently been upgraded to Q5 so the need to grow is no longer needed on these shores. Obviously the strategy will be a bit a different with The People's Airline in Germany and The People's Gifts in Ireland that I have acquired today. Though I do not think these companies will ever be upgraded, the need simply isn't there for those industries in those countries.
I do wish you the best of luck and I was quite sincere that I will be curious to see how your experiment turns out. We all have our different strategies, but the ultimate goal of providing a service to the worker rather than the worker serving the company is the same.
"when will you commies learn, your ideology cannot work in rl nor in the republik"
Actually, true communism has never been tried. It has always been taken over by a party/government who use it as a means to build power for themselves.
Good luck to your diamond company 🙂
What we see is a ideology in which people can't progress. It works essentially by slave labour. Ummm, is it too late to call myself a corporate Communist?
"corporate Communist?"
What exactly is a corporate communist. Also, how is it slave labour when you are working to produce food for yourself. I would call working on a minimum wage job while some fat guy sits in some 90th storey office earning $30,000,000 a year profits from your work a lot closer to slave labour.
From what I can see I would define the principles as being socio-anarchistic rather in communistic as you are attemping to deprive power from the state and allow your employee's to gather for themselves.
It definatly has its disadvantages but I can see the ethical upside as well.
I like Trine (the people's cause) will be very interested to see how this progresses.
