Sorry, I have to let my lawyer speak first these days. He's good, but he's costing me a fortune. However, he has promised that my hiring him will prevent my head appearing on a pole on the ramparts of Dublin Castle, so it sounded like a good deal to me.

Thats a whole lotta love folks, and there's plenty to go around.

Last Thursday, my little e-life was shaken to its core.
I'd been moping around, disappointed at losing the dMoD I had worked so hard at, feeling lost politically, as it was clear that my IUP badge had cost me my job.
That was sad for me, as I was in IUP for the comradeship, and from my respect for the elders. Personally, I had no political ambitions, (check my empty medal shelf lads) since birth. All I ever wanted was to be in the army. A one-trick-connemara-pony, that's me.

So, I reconsidered my options. Enter Severin in shining armour, on a trusty steed.
"Come away with me.To the Light !"
(well actually, thats a bit dramatic, he had been talking to me about his plans for some time, and saw that maybe now was a good time for me to commit to the launch of his new party, the IRP)

So, feeling a bit radical myself that day, I accepted.
Within seconds of changing my badge, I was locked out of the IUP forums without so much as an opportunity to say goodbye. Me, who had spent ages trying to get the place rocking with banter and ideas, when it was like a morgue....

Anyway, I digress.

What I was NOT prepared for was the torrent of spite and questioning I received from people I thought were friends. From all parties.Wild accusation of treason and lies and much more besides.

Fast forward. Within 24 hours, me and the top C.O.s in the IDF could smell Hungary a-comin'.
War is a black art people, its not all Q1 guns and games. The finest minds in the operational military can sense danger, and well they should, with their training.

So, putting my heavy heart aside, I approached our new administration with my concerns. Risky, as I was back to being a foot-solider then, and held no title at all other than proud member of Brave Div 3. (we NEVER sleep)
But it had to be done.
Oh e-God.
Round 2 ensued, Gráinne on the ropes.
Here's my rap sheet so far:

over-anxious, scare-mongering, irrational, angry, overheated, questioning of my military reasoning and command, calling my conscience into account, telling me I had no authority as I was currently uncommissioned (read recently ousted) allegations of treason, (wow, yes, treason, I mean it!), nazism (???) questioning my motives, politics, intelligence, command of the english
language, and finally, (get this) suggesting I buy some MT's and leave Irelands Shores.

I got one e-kiss from elementor, and for that, I thank him, truly.

So back to IRP.
I e-grew up with Sev here.
He and I joined IUP in Igors days, and went to the same e-schools. He choose to major in politics, I followed TopGun and gordongekko blindly into the jaws of death.
But we stayed interested in each other.
He is a patient man. An outstandingly talented writer, thinker, organizer and visionary.
He is mad into music, and has cool dancin' hips. (he'll hate me for saying that, he is so reserved)
He is the man I believe can unite this country under one flag, challenge and stimulate us, and make sure we grow as a nation. I'm not saying there are no other talented leaders here. But if I had to choose one? Sev, hands down, no question.
So I did.

Severin, you are the only man of Irish politics for me now. I believe the faith you have shown in me, the tireless effort you put in behind the scenes for this country, the lofty goals you set for yourself, and your commitment to REAL CHANGE can lead us to glory.

Sure, there's work to be done still. That's why we at IRP are recruiting today, and tomorrow, and we will not cease to try to win your true Irish e-hearts, and stimulate your minds, till we have succeded in laminating your little party-badge.

We will not stop. We will not lie down. We will strive night and day to attract the finest in our country, till we have a cabinet and administration that is the menace of the e-World.We will nurture the noobs til they are angry rebellious teenagers, as we once were.
We eIrish already have a culture and tradition that is the envy of other nations.
But we have a real hot red-headed temper in this country, and it must cease.

We do not want to divide the country, we want to unite under eIreland's best and cooperate with all dedicated citizens. We want to ensure eIrish citizens get the best service from its government especially in these dark days. I don't think we should ignore the true state we are in.

I'd like to see IRP do many things, and I promise you we are working hard at a full manifesto. But we will not release it yet. As more members join, they too get the opportunity to shape what we will stand for.

I find that VERY exciting. I hope you will too.
