Challenge Coins Recognizing Excellence

Please refer to last Friday's Army Times article, Inaugural Presentation of Challenge Coins for a light overview and video to become familiar with Challenge Coins. An internet Search of "Military Challenge Coins" will yield a ton of images and information, if you desire to expand your understanding of this time honored tradition.

This video features the Challenge Coin for the RL Army's 25th "Tropic Lightning" Division.

The USArmy Public Affairs Office and The Army Times awards these Challenge Coins as a morale building tool for excellence in service.

Today we honor soldiers representing every USMilitary branch, whose dedication and personal drive distinguish them as deserving of special recognition.
Each will receive a specially selected Challenge Coin and ten Q5 tanks.
Their USMilitary branches will also receive 100 Q5 tanks.

Please join me in congratulating these recipients of the second issuing of USMilitary Challenge Coins, presented by the USArmy Public Affairs Office and the Army Times.

Note: There is no RL "Training Corps," thus no RL Training Corps Challenge Coins.
I did my best to create a suitable Coin for our game purposes.

Nominated by Training Corps Commanding Officer General Morrigan Alexandros is Brigadier General Ethan Deluca, Commanding Officer of the 3rd Division. He also serves as TC Transfer Officer, in charge of moving Training graduates to fighting units, or to transition to another USMilitary branch.
Most notable of his accomplishments, Ethan completely reworked TC's recruitment program and increased recruitment over 200%. The entire USMilitary benefits directly from Ethan's extraordinary efforts.

General Alexandros also nominated Lieutenant Zachary Parsons, a Staff Writer for the TC newspaper, the Training Corps Tribune, a major USMilitary recruiting tool, and also entertains readers with his own The Daily Slice.
Zachary also serves as CO of the TC's 3rd Division, 301st Platoon.

I've personally nominated my friend, Private Jack O'Connor, who just graduated with honors from TC's Basic Training course. Jack is typical of eRepublik players who choose a military career with the USMilitary, in that his application to the another branch hinged on his passing TC Training.
Graduation from TC training assures intake Officers that the applicant already knows how to do the basic daily functions of a soldier, and understands the structure of USMilitary life. Graduating TC with honors will have a TC grad's next CO will watching him for leadership potential.

Note: There is no RL "Mobile Infantry," thus no RL Mobile Infantry Challenge Coins.
I did my best to create a suitable Coin for our game purposes.

New Mobile Infantry Commanding Officer, General Autumns Dawn, nominated both Private Gant Tommy and Private Kevin Hu. These soldiers are both very active on the USMil Forums, are excellent communicators, and are very involved in Platoon activities.
Gant and Kevin represent the pride and enthusiasm Mobile Infantrymen have for their branch and for the USMilitary.

Inaugural USMilitary Challenge Coin recipient National Guard Private Kria Erikson nominates two of her fellow soldiers:

Lieutenant Mr. Peanuts joined the National Guard after graduating from the Training Corps in late April. Mr. Peanuts' demonstration of excellent communication skills and leadership potential landed him a recent promotion to CO of Winter 1 Platoon.

Private Scrapwolf joined the National Guard after graduating from the Training Corps in late March. Assigned to Mobile 7 under Lieutentant Fallinmd, Scrapwolf is very active and eager to get involved, and has a real USMilitary future ahead of him.

USArmy Ranger Sergeant and former USArmy Commanding General Jason the Great nominates this soldier, which was heartily seconded by our current Commanding General Bombonato:

Fighter First Class Tuninki is possibly the USArmy record holder for longest continuous service and dedication.
Ranger JTG says of Tuninki, "I remember Tuninki from our days together in the old 4th Division. After a long absence on my part, I was very impressed to see Tuninki still chugging along after all this time. I can't think of anyone else with such a long uninterrupted service."

I personally nominate former USArmy Commanding General, former CJCS Ranger Sergeant NXNW. NXNW's record speaks for itself, and his expertise is still utilized as a Special Advisor to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

USAirborne Commanding General Cyber Witch offers these nominations from her branch:

Logistics Officer Colonel Tronyx is honored for getting the USAirborne completely self sufficient in such a short time. He's old school Airborne, ex Chief of Staff of eSouth Africa (equivalent to our CJCS), and is a mathematical genius when it comes to balancing workers vs production.

Airman First Class Clorofila is a former Argiebunny recently gaining US citizenship. Her excitement is contagious, as she livens up every IRC room she enters.

Marine Corps 1st Lieutenant Sir Valaro Volcrum nominate this fighting Devil Dog:

USMC PFC Kellman, active on IRC, active on the forums, a solid, contributing member of the community. Says, Lieutenant SVV, "He's reliable, follow orders and is an example of the model Marine. Fun, loyal and with the right temperament to go out and kick some ass."

Announcements:
Admins have killed org-owned newspapers. The Army Times, having just reached 1400 subscribers, is out of business. I'll be changing the name of my own newspaper, formerly known as Custer's Stand, to something appropriate and recognizable as the USArmy's official newspaper.
Thanks for supporting the Army Times!

Post Script: Please Shout and spam this (below) around IRC to let our 1400 Army Times readers know where to find us now, at The USArmy Times.

All USMilitary branches honored!
Admins killed the Army Times, this is its replacement newspaper.

With this awarding of USMilitary Challenge Coins, in addition to each recipient getting ten Q5 tanks, the remainder of our stock of Q5 tanks is being distributed to all the USMilitary branches.

USArmy FFC Teddy Roosevelt has kicked off replenishment of the Army Times' tank fund with a $500 contribution.
If you wish to contribute, please send funds or tanks to me and not to the Army Public Affairs Office org.

If you want to join any branch of the USMilitary,

The place to start is the Training Corps.
